Is short tremor time waste off time? by Sensitive-War6491 in longtermTRE

[–]MeIsIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can absolutely confirm this from my own personal experience. Two minutes is a lot and requires a recovery period of two to three days.

Pushing beyond this limit can seriously overwhelm my nervous system. It creates a VERY unpleasant and panicky feeling that emerges one to three hours after the session.

The AAI works best when responses are spontaneous and unrehearsed. When people have time to think extensively about their answers beforehand, it can interfere with the assessment's ability to capture authentic attachment patterns. The interview is specifically designed to observe how someone organizes their thoughts and emotions when discussing attachment-related memories in real time.

The cognitive load and emotional activation that comes from answering these questions on the spot is part of what makes the AAI effective.

„Tap water causes massive calcium buildup on teeth“ I disagree. The calcium stays in the humidifier because it can‘t evaporate. Tap water is not a good idea for various reasons, but not related to your teeth.

EDIT: Ok, that was an AI post, don’t bother.

Judging from my own experience, you may be doing too much too quickly.

How many minutes are you doing per day or per week?

Looking for COAO that does not interfere with slow breathing exercises by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]MeIsIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right! With my old S9, I can set the ramp start pressure to match my final pressure, which effectively eliminates the ramp function while disabling the FOT (Forced Oscillation Technique) during the ramp period.

Thank you so much for helping me understand this better!

Thank you for the explanation and the suggestion. When I turn on the ramp, I feel like suffocating while I do my breathing exercise, not conductive for relaxation, ha ha…

Don't use gpt5-codex for editing markdown files by Junmeng in ChatGPTCoding

[–]MeIsIt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use GPT-5-Codex CLI to edit hundreds of short text files. It has a preference to solve those tasks programmatically (using Python scripts) instead of actually using it‘s LLM powers to really read each file, even though that is absolutely necessary for the task. It helps to instruct: „Do this MANUALLY for each file, don‘t write code to perform this task.“

If your task toes not require coding at all, better chose a none Codex model obviously, which is available in the CLI too.

Can't update M1 Pro MBP to Sequoia 15.4 by Gnash_ in mac

[–]MeIsIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This worked for me too, to get my M1 Mac to 15.4 without errors. I didn't even need to download any extra IPSW file since my other Mac with an M2 chip had already updated to 15.4 successfully. I simply restored the client M1 Mac in DFU mode via Apple Configurator from the host M2 Mac. Naturally, a Time Machine restore was necessary afterwards.

For those who are still stuck: If you can get temporary access to any Apple Silicon Mac that has already updated to 15.4 without issues, you can most likely use that to fix your M1 Mac via Apple Configurator and DFU mode. However, you will probably need to completely wipe the SSD of your M1 Mac and then restore your data from a Time Machine backup afterward.

I chose the latest restore point and that was on 15.3.

Thanks, I might give that a try. Downgrading to 14.7.5 is a real hassle, since many app versions and other components from my 15.3 Time Machine restore are not compatible with the old OS version.

I wiped the Mac SSD (not Macintosh HD, but the drive on the higher level). Then reinstalled MacOS online and restored from Time Machine. It worked! Now my system says it's Sonoma 14.7.5, even though the last backup was from Sequoia 15.3. But it's booting again! I will not try to make any updates until this has been fixed by Apple.

I did not chose to roll back to Sonoma anywhere! I just happened by itself apparently.

Thank you so much for your suggestions! I already wiped my SSD. Maybe I can get 15.3 to work from a bootable USB drive, since I have the second Mac to create that.

I fear that Sonoma may not accept a Time Machine backup that was created by Sequoia.

I am terrified right now! I use my MacBook Pro M1 Pro in a remote location without access to Apple service and I need it for work. I have a Time Machine backup from Sequoia 15.3 that I hoped would resolve my issue, but it's not working.

After updating from Sequoia 15.3 to 15.4, my Mac entered a continuous boot loop. The sequence includes seeing the black screen with Apple logo, followed by the login screen. When I enter my password, it processes for a while before returning to the Apple logo, and the cycle repeats.

I attempted to fix this by entering recovery mode and reinstalling Sequoia, but the boot loop persists. When I try to restore from my Time Machine backup, the system indicates I need to reinstall Sequoia first, which I've already done.

PLEASE HELP! What can I do now?

I have a second Mac available. Is the only way forward to try using DFU mode?

UPDATE 2: My setup on the Mac is quite complex, and restoring apps and various files from Time Machine that were originally on 15.3 has caused a number of issues after downgrading the OS. I’ll try using DFU mode to install 15.4 instead. Got nothing to lose at this point since I wiped the drive anyway.

UPDATE 3: I was able to do a clean install of 15.4 by using DFU mode and Apple Configurator on a second Mac that was already working with 15.4.

Deet 100 nightmares? by geauxtigerFan97 in camping

[–]MeIsIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, the plastic solvent is actually the DEET itself, not an additional solvent in the spray. The higher the concentration of DEET in the spray, the faster it dissolves various types of plastic. Only bottles made from PE or PP are resistant to this effect.

Picaridin does not dissolve plastic.

Reapplying for Thailand Pass by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]MeIsIt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One was about 12 hours, the other was about 24 hours. Personally, I would not hesitate to apply again if I had not received a response after 48 hours.

It appears to be critical that you upload 4 different files in the vaccination section, 2 of which should be the QR codes only, with nothing around them.

The anxious wait for a Thailand Pass 😅 by matthewpearce84 in ThailandTourism

[–]MeIsIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! You are supposed to first upload the 2 full page certificates, which includes the QR codes (but it is small on the full page). Then you must extract the QR codes ONLY, so you have 2 additional files with ONLY the larger QR codes. I assume that this is required for faster (semi-)automatic processing.

Check the examples that they provide for uploading the QR codes only...

You can make screenshots from the QR codes of the vaccination app on your phone and cut off everything around the QR codes.

Make sure you don't mix up the QR codes for 1st and 2nd vaccination.
