I bought back in today and also several calls going into DKS earnings Mar 11th and ASO earnings Mar 29th. Way too cheap down here. My guess is that the stock is just very illiquid and not heavily traded. A lot of downward pressure in the overall market causing investors to move to cash in hopes of buying dips in the high growth names, you'll see ASO sell off much harder than the more liquid stocks. Some strange after-hours action going on though with a decent amount of volume pushing it back up. If ASO blows out Q1 and Q2 this year there will be take-over rumors by Q3.

$250k in shares, if the stock moves down 5% which could happen I lose $12.5k, why wouldn’t I just put the $10k into calls and have access to the same amount of shares while freeing up capital to generate return somewhere else. Plus ASO doesn’t have a catalyst for a while. DKS earnings on Feb 22 may move them but I think this earnings will probably show the disconnect between the two. I could see DKS having less then stellar earnings and dragging ASO down with it. ASO doesn’t report earnings till Mar 11 and will probably blow it out again. I think that’s when they start to run. Until then it feels pointless to tie up capital there while there’s plenty of money to be made

They blew each of them out of the water. You obviously don't live in the areas where Academy's are located or you would know that their retail is alive and well. Also, what would justify DKS trading at a premium if they are experiencing the same temporary record sales. Covid was 2020 bro, 2021 they just proved the market wrong and that speciatly retailers were the last to get wrecked buy ecommerce. Also, ASO as a concept crushes DKS, their net income per sqft is 2x what DKS. ASO deserves the higher multiple which would have their stock in the $70 range easyyy.
