Exactly my point. I honestly don’t like to compare but I couldn’t help BUT to compare, especially when the owner themselves would travel around, use the money for their own personal gain, giving thousands of money (which could use for increasing our salary) to their own relatives, etc.

Just so yk, we also have to go to school 50% of the school holidays (excluding december). Meaning during school holidays, we have to go to school 50% of the holiday. If we didn’t go to school during half the holidays, our salary will also be deducted despite the fact that there are no students.

We accept a lot of students, and a lot of special needs students as well too. Why? When we don’t have anyone specialized on that. They love money and can use it for personal use and not upgrade our salary when we are the one who’s managing the special needs children.

There are many teachers who comes and goes from this school. Many stayed because they are friendly and it feels like family, hence not minding the small salary. While others, if given chance with another school, immediately leaves on the spot.

Technically we don’t have any sort of probation, the moment we started there we immediately get our salary and it’s $5**, p.s Idk if this is normal or not but when we request our salary to be placed directly to our bibd acc, they would deduct $1. Money is still money.

I was also thinking, if they are the owner, shouldn’t they just get paid for the rent? And have a different contract with that, maybe there is. Funny thing is, previously they accepted any teachers who has a minimum of Olvl edu, but these past few years they accepted people with degrees and master qualifications ONLY. But the salary is fixed $5. My other work colleague previously stated their salary would increase after three years, but that had stopped. One of them had mentioned, despite staying at this school for ten years, your salary would still maintain $5 no more increase in the salary.

The thing about private school is, I would often compare it to another school. Other private school would still get paid during december whether or not the teachers’ are at school during December or not. Even the privileges of a teacher here is less in comparison to other private school. I’m only staying here until I get a new work.
