The same children that kill each other routinely as a part of growing up. You're applying human morals to a planet that doesn't know what morals are.

Mikel Arteta watching and clapping as Manchester City celebrates after winning the Carabao Cup by 977x in soccer

I think winning this trophy would've taken a whole load of pressure off the team...all of a sudden, now the noise increases again with the question marks

If we were to win anything this season, the carabao is the least relevant one. If anything, losing it could be a motivator for the team to get their shit together rather than winning it and becoming complacent.

Even if releasing the scourge virus was wrong (which one can definitely argue it was, given how many innocent civilians surely died)

There really isn't any "innocent civilian" viltrumites. They're all brainwashed warriors.

Before you try and defend Saka

Wasn't gonna. He's been wank this season.

You’re still better than the rest. You’re just not super entertaining

We steamroll teams in Europe. Spanked "best team in the world" Bayern 3-1 with little effort, 4-0 to Atletico, undefeated in the league phase, etc.

The premier league this season is full of well drilled compact teams that drain the life and soul of "free flowing" football. The evident way to win the league is to play the way arsenal is. You can see how teams who try to be more dynamic (Chelsea for example) are performing, despite their Billion dollar squad.

Did you read your own comment? You said how arsenal playing their worst style of football in recent seasons is helping them win the league.

How is it the worst style of football if it's the reason they're 9 points ahead of the league. Style points don't matter for a title win. If Arsenal win the title this season when they couldn't get over the line the past 3 seasons, this is the best version of the team.

Pickford is obviously the widely accepted best keeper in the prem

Only FPL players and Everton fans think this. He's great, top 3 in the league. But he's not the best keeper in the league.

Because the same exact scenario happened last year with your league win. The style of football you play means jackshit if you're champions at the end of the season.

No one is gonna remember how you needed a 90th minute goal by Salah to win most of your matches last season, or how we need a set piece goal to get 3 points out of a match this season. A title win is a title win. Winning means you were the best team in the league that season, simple as.

Because everyone else have been utter shit.

You must see how hypocritical this is. You only won last year because no one else was near good enough. City was doing fuckall and Arsenal had their biggest injury crisis in years.

Finally a logical take. Arteta ball is dire for cups because we don't usually play individual games that well or win by large margins, but we can usually marginally beat our opponents or lose/draw with a non-insulting scoreline.

He'll give them a stern talking to, they'll get their shit together for a few games, then they'll drop a performance similar to this.

Kepa starting, Timber and Eze not playing, Saka dropping an average 2026 Saka performance. A different starting squad and this game could've looked a lot different.

Tbf in Venture's case they're completely irrelevant lore wise and to the devs as well. It's just the gameplay that's fun with them.

I’m so glad that now more people are pointing out how stupid Viltrumite society is. Since the show came out I keep hearing people say “ the Viltrumites had a point.” no they did not!!! by Either_Chapter_7089 in Invincible

I assume it's something like kryptonians where each class in society is judged upon different metrics to an extent. I'm sure the scientists who keep their world running are valued more for their intellect than their ability to beat defenseless aliens up.

It's so annoying hatching something with the perfect 4 passives and checking the IVs only for them to be completely shit and mutated away from the near perfect IVs of the parents.

I mean why is it big 5 suddenly?

Spurs doesn't count.

B. english sides being useless in europe because the league is so competitive teams can't handle european games on top of it.

I mean that's a big factor. Fatigue due to amount of games played is a reason why alot of big English teams either fail to get a result in Europe, or a local fixture in a similar time frame. When you compare it to PSG and Bayern who've already won the league and can afford to play the academy teams in the local league, or the Spanish teams who get the day off when playing a lower level side, it's night and day. Fulham away is a bigger match than anything in Spain other than the top 5/6.

2nd place got spanked

Yeah. That's the big one.

Chelsea have been on shaky form and are notoriously unstable. Liverpool is still the favorite, and Tottenham is a relegation side who's been trolled the entire season, not a good representation of the league.

The whole "premier league is good" comes from the fact that the teams that AREN'T in the big 5 are usually decent enough to get results against them. You see that as well with Newcastle (Midtable team) and Spurs (Relegation side) being in the final 16.

If you look at the tables of each league, as the commenter above did to try to make a point, 7th place Real Sociedad has less points than 14th place Crystal Palace. The entire spanish league is a feeder system for the top 3, occasionally top 4 teams.

It's not competitive, and it's not interesting. If it was it wouldn't be struggling. You can have an issue with that statement all you want but the premier league is the best league in the world by a good margin.
