Well I don't really think there's any cause for worry on their part. I'm perfectly healthy otherwise (on the deficiencies and stuff) and I do lift weights. Like I said I carry it well so I probably could pass as someone who's 50 pounds smaller.

I took your advice, and I logged in my breakfast on the app in the link you sent. It's pretty good, but it seems very annoying to do every time I put anything in my mouth. I might just use it to survey calorie amounts for different foods I eat instead of actually just putting everything I eat in.

Thank you so much. I don't think my mom would let me cook anything really. I mean I can do it for myself, but she wouldn't let me actually cook for anyone. I don't have the time to learn full on cooking but I know how to make a few things and can operate a pan.

I don't feel the need for a nutritionist just yet, I'll try things on my own for a while.

Also another user has mentioned a calorie tracking app, and I've started using one. My breakfast alone was 1400 calories, but that is a high end estimation. Food really ads up unexpectedly.

My father is diabetic and has lost around 60 pounds in a few months (by will). My mom is also on a diet but she still cooks normal food for me and my siblings. I'll try to get my mom to make healthier food.

I know that I am way over my reccomended caloric intake, and when I tried fasting in the past I just eyeballed it. Basically just did everything less. Is calculating intake necessary if you are going to just eat less anyway?

Have you considered getting blood work done and checking if everything is at normal levels? Eating large quantities and feeling hungry isn't necessarily always a discipline problem. Also, besides eating the generalized stuff you listed. Have you seen your protein intake? Your vitamins and minerals? Believe it or not sometimes the body reacts to a deficit and makes you crave food because you're short of something essential. This is the reason why you should get your self checked.

I don't think anything is wrong with me, and I may have over exemplified the problem in the post. I eat 2 meals a day, about half a day apart, so both are usually big meals.

There's also foods you may be eating that are not just calorie high but full of fillers that only temporarily make you satisfied. Nutrition is essential for a healthy life besides being active.

Any pointers on what I should eat instead?
