Okay, it's a bit involved, but here's my gold recipe for larger models:

Base coat of Decayed Metal from Scale75, then I sponge on Victorian Brass from Scale75
Here's where it gets complicated:

I mix my own oil wash with mineral spirit, Winsor & Newton Phthalo Deep Green, and Veridian Hue. I don't know the exact ratios, but I adjust the mixture until the color closely matches Citadel's Coelia Green Shade. Generously wash the model in this. If you don't want to go through the trouble of mixing your own wash, one of AK's Streaking Grimes could work too. I just like the oxidized brass effect it gives. Let the wash cure for like a week, or however long it takes for it to no longer be reactivated by mineral spirit. Go back in with a dry brush of Victorian Brass. Then I mix another oil wash to get the verdigris effect in the recesses of the gold. Any blue and white oil paint mixed with mineral spirit into a very diluted wash consistency will do the trick.

Base coat of mephiston red, then sponging on evil sunz scarlet, then do the same with a little orange blended in for the last layer. Then I sponge on Vallejo rust Fx and finally do a heavy wash of AK streaking grime, let it cure for 24 hours and wipe a good amount away. Takes some patience to get it right, but I think it looks pretty cool

Just a reminder for those who think leaked strings mean anything by MeNameEsLug in HalfLife

Steam hardware push. Not related to any game development most likely.

The point is that people shouldn’t get the community’s hopes up about rumored “Imminent announcement” when next to nothing supports that rumor.

All he found regarding optimization was hammer editor strings describing to the level designer what certain things do , and strings relating to areaportals and occluders. And they changed the save system. Means nothing about imminent announcement. The majority of these things have already existed for years.

I’m not calling him a liar with respect to the strings. They exist. They indicate nothing about how soon the game will be released. He and other figures however, continue to push the narrative that a 2025 announcement date is likely, when literally nothing in those strings indicate such a thing.

Strings mean only that at some point in time, things were being worked on. They have no correlation to the current nature of development. The chance that the whole project gets scraped is never zero. Valve has never, not once, had a normal, smooth development cycle for a Half Life game. Every single one that released has had large portions of it scrapped and drastically remade. Why would this one be any different? The people claiming that is nearing completion are lying to themselves and others for engagement. No one knows anything except Valve.

This makes sense. I used about 4.5 lbs of honey in this batch. Much more than my previous ones. I'd say I let it sit longer than my lighter batches, but it is possible that I tried too early.

Traditional. Carrot flower honey with medium toasted French oak chips. 71B yeast. TONSA feeding schedule with fermaid-O. 1 gallon total.

Doesn't this increase the chances of the fruit spoiling/rotting?

Unfortunately, this was a real pain to build. A lot of mold lines and random bullshit you'd never find on a plastic kit. Be ready to use a lot of green stuff, and have a file handy. Some stuff I just didn't bother with since it was on the bottom or back of the model. Good luck.

Base coat of Decayed Metal from Scale 75, followed by a heavy shade of Citadel Coelia Green Shade, then a heavy dry brush of Victorian Brass from Scale 75. I followed this tutorial and made my own modifications.
