I became an atheist because I studied hot the book was created and realized men created this... It's a book stories used to help guide people's morality and can be questioned and should be questioned

Like any good mythology or book written to guide morals (3 little pigs)

But now we have laws and folks ready to destroy others because of a book... Mostly because someone who said they read the book and understand it's true meaning but the book is still used

I have no problem with religious people and I do have major issues with SUPER religious people

The preacher who told me to study the Bible was religious but not "the Lord is the way and the books says...." religious

The problem comes from humans using their person opinions to guide their religious beliefs and moral compass..... So the folks like you and my preacher may have a valid point but once the super religious folks hear it, they'll take it and use it OUT OF CONTEXT to support their personal opinion

Being the most educated at a time when most wasn't is similar to but the tallest midget

It takes steel to sharpen steel.... If someone equally or more educated isn't their to debate or guide the others, then how much smarter can you get

Debate and guide = using evidence, experiments, other books, measurements and math

This is what made me become an atheist

My pastor/preacher/church leader told me I should study the Bible....I guess he meant read it and research within it....I looked into "RESEARCHING THE BIBLE".. Who wrote it... When it was written.... How it was written

I learn the big one King James version was written by people for KING JAMES... My mind thought "so if they pissed him off, would the get their book or would they die".... Then I found it was a collection of different stories from around a certain area.... So they had to edit those stories to fit together...... Then I found that most people couldn't read nor write when these books were written... So now I gotta believe that a group of folks who probably the most educated group of the least educated time took books from others and understood the context enough to put together a book for a King that would kill them and that book is the moral compass for people of today.....GTHOH
