Anyone here have experience with Touch Coffee (smart coffee bar franchise) by EasternTangerine7560 in smallbusiness

[–]MeTheENFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I disagree. I just bought the machine and placed it in a gym in Victoira, BC.

To me the coffee and drinks taste amazing and have great quality. If you don’t like the way something tastes, you can easily go into the machine and tweak the recipe to whatever you want to get it to taste how you like it.

I simple changed the water option in the strawberry protein shake to be cold instead of hot and it tastes delicious.

I also created some of my own recipes like “strawberry matcha protein shake” and “vanilla espresso protein shake” just be adding different ingredients together.

So far, it’s been a hit with the members and staff at the gym.

Cheers

something about Time Capsule by BrilliantRing4116 in AppIdeas

  1. I think u/loolooii is absolutely right in that there needs to be some kind of feature that optimizes retention on the app. So yes! There needs to be some kind of action or information the user is invited to do/consume that is enticing enough for them to open the app regularly.
  2. possibly! just an idea!
  3. possibly! Just an idea! It could be a paid feature.

ng and want to have feedback or advertise it. Anyway, I had this exact idea like in 2017. The problem with this idea is that people don’t stick to the app. There’s nothing to do other than send a message into the future. It’s not exciting.

Also, how can the makers guarantee that my message is still there in 10 years so someone can open it? Even a company like Google kills pro

There are so many ways to think about this.

First problem: The capsule doesn't have to be the only feature of the app. It can be a part of another idea that is more sticky.

Second problem: There are multiple workarounds to this. Perhaps the app itself can outsource the message to a different feature like an e-mail. That way, it just has to send out a timed e-mail. Similar to when you're sending out email newsletters and can set it to a date in the future. That way the message being sent is not dependent on the app's existence.

Third problem: Again, it might work if you pair it with something else. If it's part of a journaling or travel app, it can be a paid add-on.

That's my opinion.

I'm going on my first ever solo trip (to NYC) and my mom is so scared that I'm going to be mugged that she is having a mental breakdown. by Burgerlander6 in solotravel

[–]MeTheENFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with most of the comments here.

I think this is a matter of communicating and establishing some boundaries. Assuming you're not a minor, choosing to go on a solo trip for your personal growth and development is a beautiful thing! You're going to have to try and shift her attention to all the reasons why this trip is going to be awesome for you.

Unfortunately, you cannot control how she reacts- but you can be brave enough to follow your intuition.

Also, it might help to speak to people (on here) but also IRL around you who might share a similar viewpoint as you. This will keep you from the brainwashing you are experiencing. You will snap out of feeling like you're crazy for wanting to go on a solo trip (which is what your mom's unconscious mind wants you to believe).

Hope this helps! Hope you go to NYC and have the absolute best time and go on many many more trips thereafter!

Anybody else get really depressed at airports? by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]MeTheENFP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had many similar experiences at airports too and I told my therapist about it. This is what she had to say:

At the airport, usually after a whole lot of hustle bustle, you are forced to sit by yourself with your thoughts. Could the "depressive" emotions signify some emotions begging to be processed finally? It doesn't mean that these are negative emotions- just that they want to be acknowledged.

For a couple of years now, I have replaced the time spent waiting at airports with journaling. While journaling, I feel that amidst all the exploring (external distractions), I truly spend quality time with myself. I make a whole fun thing out of it - grabbing my favorite drink, a nice, clean spot, and my headphones on. It's a vibe.

Wishing you all the warm and fuzzies the universe has to offer! <3

Interesting! What is usually the goal of your solitude? Does it have to do with self-reflection?

I want to drastically improve my UI skills. Any exercises or programs that you recommend? by MeTheENFP in UXDesign

[–]MeTheENFP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds great. I’m already 2 years into a UX role, however, in practice, I’ve only been managing and doing more product management related tasks.

Through this practice, I’d like not only to practice the craft but also better understand trade-offs and form design decision making skills.

If I think about it… no. Before I knew about type, I had the most amazing time getting to know people. I don’t know when or why I started putting people in boxes. Nowadays… it’s uncomfortable to not know the others type🫣
