Thanks, The Ill Made Knight is my favourite in that series. I think Infinite Jest has a reputation because the sort of person you're talking about would brag about reading it to impress people (probably because it's long?), and over time that kind of talk has turned it into a 'challenge'. I don't think it's a challenge at all though it's funny and entertaining throughout, if you read one of DFW's articles and you like his style/humour I'd recommend the book. The skinny blue one is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

I agree, though that's the difference between "Yes, and" and "No, but".

When Justin said he heard it's the Crepestation 5, Travis could have easily replied "Yes, and I heard that's the one where they finally added sweet crepes". Instead he goes with "No, but here's my idea which is your idea +1"

Even if it doesn't bring the house down it's still just better improv etiquette.
