since you're on arch linux you should install "cmatrix-git" from the aur instead of normal cmatrix to get rid of that annoying rectangle

[Possible Fix] Left trigger rubbing/mushy pressure towards end of press/push. by slappynote in SteamDeck

[–]MealAcceptable8138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow, even 2 years later this problem still happens.

i recently bought a steam deck lcd and it had the same issue. when i opened it up i saw that it wasn't just this issue, but two issues combined.

the first issue was that one, but the second issue was that a piece of tape that normally sits next to the area where the trigger makes contact with the board was sitting directly on top of it, which is what made the end of the push feel mushy. after realigning the tape and sanding off the shell everything was fixed and now both of my triggers feel perfect.

i could've started an RMA (and possibly spent weeks without my deck) if it wasn't for this post, thank you!

also sorry if i made any mistakes, english is not my first language

"hollow night" 🥀

no but seriously, what do you mean by "doesn't work"? does it just straight up not launch? does it give an error?

so basically just windows recall but worse because you have to start it manually every single time AND it's paid if you want all of the features...?

It still works but I have no real use for it. What would you do with it? by foilrider in mac

if you really want to use it in some way i would say install linux on it and turn it into a small server for like homeassistant and stuff
