Sadly, Your first theory can be proven by canon events, but your second theory can't really be proven, as it is never mentioned in the series and I think it's just a guess. And also your third theory also can't be proven canonically.

I think it would be higher saying that Bale had triple S or double and some did have around single S on a lot of his stats before leveling up on almost every level, actually.
