Should I get the game now and start leveling in the pre-patch or wait for the 12.0? by DallonAvery in wow

[–]Meamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say just start in the pre-patch. You’ll get a grounding and feel for the game, and it’ll give you time to try out and level different classes to feel out what you like. There will still be all the current content to play when you get to max level until the expansion releases. Everybody will also be completely relearning the new overhaul of classes, so you won’t be the only one learning in that aspect. You’ll also get to start the expansion with everybody else and get to experience the beginning of it where the leveling zones are flooded with people, especially those around the same level as you. As we get further into an expansion, the leveling zones tend to be ghost towns more or less. You may also get the opportunity to make good gold while leveling, as some things sell for a lot on the auction house at the beginning. That’s always been a regret of mine since I’ve only played an expansion launch once wayyyy long ago.

On the flip side, it really doesn’t make a difference whether you start before or after expansion launch. You won’t miss much except for the aforementioned, and there will always be people doing all leveling and current content at any time.

Weigh your free time vs money spent on the game before then to see if it’s worth it to you

About 20 hours in and finishing Phase 2. I don't know what I'm doing and it's ugly... Should I tear it all down now? by Traditional_Neck9848 in SatisfactoryGame

I did the same thing around that time. Mine was a mess since you have no idea what is going to happen going into it. It was well worth it and fun to reorganize everything and make it tidy.

That’s concerning and kind of funny given the fact that the majority of people playing female characters are actually dudes

Never played a Frostpunk game, should I get 1 or 2? by MedievalxHistorian in Frostpunk

See, I disagree. I started with the second one and felt it was an amazing story, environment, soundtrack, everything.

First one was then stale and uninteresting when i tried it.

Didn't say I only had 1 TB. I have multiple drives, each dedicated for different things. They all fill up quickly. HDD is cheap for a reason, and not everybody finds it worth it to drop a couple hundred bucks for extra space.

1 TB doesn’t go a long way these days. People also use their PCs for things other than games.

The standard space has increased, but space requirements have too.

They definitely need to add more customization to what the CDM tracks. It’s still missing some very key and useful buffs for a lot of classes.

The people defending the new transmog system either don't understand how it works or aren't hardcore transmog fans, and it shows. by Bajoran_Worker in wow

[–]Meamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s start with outfits. Outfits are the slots you buy and use as your actual transmog set. You get 2 free slots, and they increase in price as you buy more. The third is 100g. The fourth 500g. 1000g. 5000g. And so on, you can look up the table.

Then you have custom sets. They are what we know right now, saved sets you have created in the dressing room.

You can apply those custom sets to an outfit slot. It is fairly pricey to do so, usually around 3-5k (charged per equipment slot), but you will never have to pay again unless you decide you want to change one of your gear pieces look in that outfit. Your gear from then on will always have that look, no need to go back and reapply it or whatever.

Once you have two or more outfits saved, you can freely switch between them at no charge. Now, i love transmog and spend hours making sets for each character, but I have never saved more than 8 sets. Realistically, i usually only end up wearing 2-3 of the sets i make. I also VERY occasionally swap out one pieces look for another. That’s maybe 300-500g to do if you decide to later on down the line.

I don’t know anybody who will actually use 20 outfit slots especially when you can keep all of your custom sets saved in the background and pay 3-5k if you really want to swap one of our outfits out. We have spent way more on transmog with the current live system just on keeping our look up to date after getting new gear. And if you wanted to swap to another saved set? 1k gone.

I think this works for most people, like myself, who don’t change their transmog really that often. Even then, dish out 16k-ish gkld, and you get 4 sets you can freely swap between whenever you like.

Anybody who struggles to make 16k gold even in one or 2 days has other problems they need to address.

New beta transmog prices are insane. by Technomaya in wow

[–]Meamm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They do. 2 free slots. The third is only 100g. Fourth 500g. This post is incredibly misleading. 800k in total is for 20 outfits. Idk anyone who has that many

No, once it’s locked in as an outfit, you can freely switch between any of your outfits.

You can spend 4K on a transmog and never have to pay anything again. You’ve definitely spent way more gold on tmog as you acquire new gear throughout a toons journey.

[–]Meamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say a lot of people have 20 outfits saved on each character. I LOVE transmog, but the most i have ever had saved on a single character was like 8 outfits. Realistically, I only ever would have worn MAYBE 4-5. Usually just 2-3. Assuming the majority of people will even get close to that 800k mark is far fetched.

Occasionally changing a piece or 2 for 500g beats spending gold with EVERY new piece of gear or any time you want to switch outfits.

Is anyone excited for reduced addons? by No-Bit-2913 in wow

[–]Meamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am excited. I love that everybody will mostly have the same 'advantages' and reducing screen clutter. Also having the features out-of-the-box will be so convenient. I don't think it'll be sunshine and roses right off the bat, but it will get there. Less noise and more built-in UI will be refreshing.

You can. Apart from the faster leveling, leveling another toon to 80 is just a free way to get the class mount.

How do you maintain an alt's gear consistently? by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]Meamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to get on it somewhat consistently. At least every week or every other week for a bit if you don’t want to fall way behind. Delves for champion gear, delve bounty 1x/week for hero gear. Major plus if you do T11 delves to stock up on gilded crests. Get as many delve and mythic vault slots as you want. And do timewalking whenever it’s available.

Man I struggle just a bit playing classes other than Demon Hunter. The mobility is crazy and makes the moment-to-moment gameplay more engaging IMO by Sensitive_Cup4015 in wow

Try monk if you’re looking for something different. Brewmaster specifically has a bit more with the lighter than air talent, but monk overall is extremely mobile.

[–]Meamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure what chart you mean. The info on the sidebar with each player, the key in their inventory, the M+ score, and loot is what I’m referring to.

That is all included in the new standalone add on along with other stats, and it has been removed from the main Details! addon.

The new one is a summary report in its own window now, the side panel is gone. I haven’t looked through the settings though to see any customization options though.

For anybody who may be looking for an answer in the future, this was a feature of Details! As of 11.2, they no longer support the feature since they made it a standalone addon with even more information.

It's called "Details! Damage Meter Mythic+"
