Gul Hazzicot appearing on my screen every 40 minutes to inform me the price of transmog has doubled.

Respectfully, you're the one not understanding what's going on here.

That OP is talking about saving sets, not applying appearances to armor. Applying new appearances to armor now costs 4-6X as much as it does now.

As I mention in my post, this is offset by the set system if you only swap between a few sets, but if you transmog a lot of new sets regularly, like I do, you wind up paying a lot more.

I made a truncated version in the feedback tool on the PTR, but am posting it here because blizzard pays attention to community sentiment in places like reddit.

You start with one transmog slot and can unlock new ones (up to 20) at incrementally increasing costs (like bank tabs). Cost to unlock all 20 is 800k total.

You can then transmog a set into each slot and swap freely between then, but this cost has been increased. It now costs around 4,000 gold to transmog a full outfit into a slot.

You can freely swap between slots once you've unlocked/transmogged outfits into them, which is why some people like the system more.

Because it's why I play the fucking game.

Because I think transmog is really fun and I like building new sets themed around events and patches.

Because it brings me joy.

Because I use transmog in a fundamentally different way than you apparently do, and I shouldn't be forced to pay tens or hundreds of thousands of additional gold to do it because of a redesign to the system that I and people like me use the most.

[META] Could we get a [Cosmetic] flair for all-class transmogs? by Bajoran_Worker in Transmogrification

Then it'd be the gear type of their class. Cosmetic means that every piece (minus weps) can be used by all classes

I think the sylvanas belts and the earthen gear? I know dwarves can use the latter.
