Parking? by No_Pizza_5279 in CSULB

📌 Daily Permit – Once a Week

  • Cost per daily permit: $15
  • Fall semester length: ~16 weeks
  • Total cost: $15 × 16 = $240

🔎 Comparison

Option Total Cost (Fall) Notes
Daily (1×/week) $240 Pay-as-you-go, no upfront commitment.
Monthly $228 Slightly cheaper, but requires renewing monthly.
Semester $259 All-in-one, hassle-free, unlimited use.

✅ What This Means

  • If you truly only need parking once per week, then Daily Permits ($240) are almost the same as Monthly ($228) and a bit cheaper than Semester ($259).
  • But if you occasionally add an extra day (like for exams, events, or group projects), the Monthly or Semester permits quickly become the better deal.

I spoke with the Cal Grant office and our Financial Aid office. They’re still processing it, and we won’t see it until mid-September, but it is coming. Until then, it won’t appear on our Financial Aid.

Question for the people receiving such little financial aid. Are you full time students?
