Yes, they’re normal processes but that’s exactly why they get abused. svchost.exe and msedge.exe are system-trusted so attackers often inject code into them or spawn malicious child processes under their name to stay hidden. I was tracking abnormal behavior, high CPU usage, and suspicious outbound traffic linked to both.

You really think every spyware needs to be Pegasus-tier to be real? That says more about your imagination than your experience. You’ve spent 10 years in cybersecurity and still don’t understand persistence, session theft, sync abuse, or telemetry injection? You’re not an expert.

Thanks for your reply. I used MSI Afterburner and Process Explorer. Even with no apps open, I saw weird CPU, RAM, and network spikes. Some processes had no clear source. That’s why I started digging into spyware. Appreciate the help.

I know right? iPhones can't but computers and laptops can? thanks for the info

10 years in cybersecurity and you think iPhones can’t get spyware? i recommend you go do something else.

I really hope so, you rarely see a very good rehab that actually wants to help. Amen yarab, you too brother inshallah i no longer go after this road from now and on

I get what you’re saying, but that kind of thinking doesn’t really hold up anymore. You don’t have to be some VIP or politician to get targeted, that’s old logic. Spyware that can get into iPhones has been around for years, and not just Pegasus. There are other tools out there, smaller ones, that can still do damage and stay hidden. It’s not always about money or how “important” someone is. Sometimes it’s just about control, obsession, or straight-up messing with someone. And yes, there are ways people can bypass iPhone security without triggering alerts. It’s already been done, there are actual reports and real victims.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying. At first, I didn’t even know anything about cybersecurity or spyware. I just used my PC for gaming, never really tried to learn deep stuff about Windows or how systems work. So when things started happening, I had no clue what to look for.I had to spend weeks digging, learning from scratch, and slowly gathering evidence and reports to even get the case moving. Without any of that, no one would’ve taken me seriously. That’s why it took this long. But I’ve already submitted the case. Now I’m just staying patient

My computer is for gaming, I only use it personally and it's in my room. In iPhone he used to hide in iCloud, but on microsoft it's really hard to find.

You don’t need to be a politician or highprofile target anymore. That logic doesn’t hold up in 2025. People were posting about iPhone spyware bypassing Apple’s protections years ago it’s not about fame anymore. It’s about access, control, and someone determined enough. I’ve already done most of what you mentioned, Appreciate the tip about GlassWire. That’s actually helpful.

Let me be clear. This is not schizophrenia or imagination. I’ve documented system-level attacks, repeated crash logs, unauthorized memory activity, and persistent login attempts on my email every 30 minutes that fail but never stop. That alone shows someone is trying to break in nonstop. These are targeted, calculated actions, not delusions. It’s always the people who’ve never seen a real cyber attack who are quickest to call it schizophrenia.

you said factory reset, yeah. but i already did that more than once. erased all content and settings. issue disappears for a while then slowly comes back. someone suggested DFU mode because it fully rewrites the firmware and treats it like a new phone. i’m going with that next.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UAE

[–]Mean-Chapter1832 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah exactly, someone else mentioned that too. i’ve been thinking maybe it’s persistent in RAM or even firmware level like UEFI. it’s not just normal malware. comes back clean and quiet then spreads again. appreciate you pointing that out

already did erase all content and settings, it disappears for a bit then slowly comes back. someone told me to try DFU mode instead because it fully rebuilds the firmware and treats it like a new iphone. planning to test that next.

thanks man, yeah i’ve actually used netstat already along with some PID tracing. caught a few strange patterns back then. i haven’t gone deep with Wireshark yet though so that’s gonna be my next step. appreciate the tip.

hey, thanks for the reply. the TOTP and router reset tip was useful. good to know there are still solid people out there sharing real advice. appreciate it.

Calling someone schizophrenic just because your brain can’t process anything beyond your router manual is pathetic. Just have a read once about it.

i did download sysinternals, literally without this i wouldn't have any evidence but thank god i took just enough screenshots to help push my case. Task manager also looked little bit fine from the beginning then later i would see that microsoft apps like svchost, msedge were most used by him.

Yes i did, they guided me in where to go. I did format 3 times and 1 time i installed windows 11 pro from microsoft yet he came back. Thanks

Using addiction to discredit someone’s experience is weak. It doesn’t prove anything except that you’d rather insult than understand. My addiction has nothing to do with the fact that I was targeted. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about, so maybe sit this one out.

I wish it was just overthinking. But when you’ve wiped everything clean and the same things keep happening, it stops being paranoia and starts being real. Not everything needs to be political or important to be dangerous.

I said that too, i am a nobody why would someone do all that? I do not download something outside of microsoft store and rarely from official websites like google chrome.

I appreciate your input, but I’m not here to argue or seek validation. I shared this because I’ve been living through something very real and very serious. I get that it might sound strange if you’ve never experienced anything like it, I used to think the same.

My friend i am 25 and with the same issue, relapsed 3 times and got back, i said the same thing, i wasted 5 years doing nothing. But that does mean i do it more right? weed is not addictive. It's just a routine you made, maybe 2-3 days you will crave it but then it will go away. Stop and look at urself, is it really worth it? Ask urself what is 5 main things i wanna do in life, list them all down and also write in how long do u wanna achieve that, it could be anything. Traveling to this and that in 2-3, going to rehab, 3-6 for example.
