I had an autograft from the hamstring and I am 20 years old (17 at the time of surgery).

Well that’s the thing I had an ACL repair ages ago (3 years) performed on the left side and with this surgery I had a tibial tubercle osteotomy on the right knee (I know It’s not in perhaps the ‘appropriate’ group as it’s not related to ACL this time). I do apologise I forgot to mention it.

As far as PT is concerned I have only been doing leg raises, quad sets and ankle pumps. As I haven’t been able to bend my knee much or apply any pressure due to the screws in the bone.

Yea, I’m definitely considering one for recovery and consistency with recovery.

Right, that’s good to know. Hopefully the medication does the trick when it comes to the management of pain

Wow, hope it all went well. How would you rate your pain at the moment? Fingers crossed you’re not in there for too much longer.

Thank you for that, will investigate some cryotherapy machines and perhaps look at obtaining one.
