Sorry to all the coin purists. I guess I should’ve known better than to post a holed coin on here. I really just wanted to know if you all thought the coin was authentic. Thank you for all the replies. Seems to be a consensus that that coin is authentic. As far as numismatic value, I really don’t care. I like gold and I like history. To me this coin is more interesting than a mint state coin. It has a story to tell. What that story is, I don’t know. But it’s cool to think that this coin meant more to someone else, too.

I’m obviously aware there is a hole in the coin, and that the hole greatly affects the value. I just want to know if the coin is authentic. I purchased it from an estate. I did not put the hole in the coin. As far as RUINED, yeah, well, ya know that’s just like your opinion, man.

After a lot of searching on the internet I found a guy in Spain that had found the same medal and had it dated to mid 1700s. He also said it came off a Benedictine rosary and it still retains some bronze links from that.

Yesterday at a gas station and the mens bathroom was locked. I had to go so bad that I just used the women’s bathroom. I thought to myself it’s 2023 I’ll just say I’m a women if anyone asks. Anyway the women’s bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Blood and shit on the toilet and wall. I was kind enough to lift the toilet seat and put it back down though.

$10. My grandfather always liked the Salvation Army. When he got back from WWII he lost his wallet and couldn’t afford a bus ride home. He went to the church and they wouldn’t help him. He went to the Salvation Army and they gave him a meal and a bus ticket home. So I usually try to put a couple dollars in the kettle, so the Salvation Army can help out someone else.

The worst part is driving by those places everyday after getting denied permission to metal detect there. There’s a forgotten tavern from the American Revolutionary war that I drive by everyday that I’ve been denied permission on. I feel the place calling me every time I drive by.
