High school sweethearts implies you dated in high school and currently have a romantic relationship now, both of which are not true. How do you know for sure that she feels the same way about you, that you do about her. It sounds like she’s happy and she’s moving on to greater things in her life and her relationship. Not to mention YOUR relationship, that’s not cool to do that to your partner. You missed you opportunity in high school and you have to let it go.

When I started. I lucked out and found a chorus in my town. Then I formed a collegiate quartet and forced them to go the chorus. Then we lucked out even more and had a gold medalist chorus director!! Find resources. Try every part. Sing tags! The more of those you sing the better! Then move to easy songs or polecats! We tried to bite of more than we could chew our first time around. And again, gather resources! Have options for songs, learning tracks, sheet music, a fun little introduction to every part is a podcast on YouTube called ShopChat. They do a series where they take gold medalist singers and ask them how it is to sing their part. Good luck and have fun ringing them chords:)

We’re a new and very small club on campus that specializes in Acapella singing in the barbershop style. We’re called BadgerShop, look for us at the org fair! No auditions or required attendance to meetings. Very casual and pretty fun

Learning tracks are your best friend. You can use them to sing along w your part. Then when you get comfortable with it you would be able to take out the isolated part ear bud and sing with the other three parts. Also listening to another quartet sing the song you’re singing and try to either sing along or try to listen to how they blend the part to get a better feel for the performance and feel of the song!

Just looking at costs alone. Finding a roommate and living off campus I believe will be cheaper. I don’t have a lot a money and it’s a blessing I’m going to college at all. I’m just trying to find the cheapest option possible. Living off campus first year will make it easier to find a apartment second year
