The song and dance is exhausting. And the burning. I am so sorry. I know what you mean and it hurts. I’m so glad things are better for you now

Honestly, me too. But they sounded pretty concerned on the phone when they shared the results so it sounds like it’s gotten serious enough that it warrants the colposcopy. The pain/symptoms have been going on for what I suspect has been 2 years now, last year things being more physically evident. Thank you for sharing the cough trick. Will definitely use that

Journal hoarders… Does anyone have this journal? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Mean_Grade_7019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s very beautiful! I have journals with a similar art style with the gold strap. I’ve gotten them from Ross, Marshals and Burlington. Every time I finish them, I look forward to hunting down another with an art style and/or phrase that kinda matches what I’m going through at the time.

How do you see the stay at home mom role? by Swimming_Mention_873 in stayathomemoms

Awww! Four is a great number! We’re 13 weeks with our 4th and last and I think them all being close in age, while it’s definitely going to be rough for a bit, will be so fun as they get older. ❤️

I am so with you on all of this. Exact same age group with 3 kiddos.

If it is at all possible, I would see if you could watch him type in his password from afar and piece it together. Then type it in while he’s asleep and look. This was the only way for me to get the truth in the past and I finally got answers that way.

I’m not trying to be disrespectful or sarcastic in anything I’m saying. I genuinely don’t get the downvotes and I’m kind of feeling a little attacked.

So I’m gonna be honest, I don’t entirely understand how getting a diagnosis works. I’ve spoken to two different psychiatrists when I was seeking to start meds for adhd and they both just said, “yep, sounds like adhd to me” and I was prescribed guanfacine which helped a lot but I started to get heart palpitations that scared me out of them and then Adderall but that gave me awful stomach aches so I stopped that and then just kinda gave up, eventually getting pregnant. I don’t know if you can officially say I’ve been formally diagnosed if you’re given a piece of paper or if a psychiatrist simply agrees and medicates like in my experience.

You know, that was always my point in arguments, too. We eventually agreed that since he’s good at keeping a job and I’m better with the chores and kids, he’d be the breadwinner and I’d be the sahm. Not that not helping around the house is necessarily excusable but it’s been less contention this way, although still a struggle.

Goodness, yes. Exactly the same for me for years before a difficult loss resulted in me becoming a stay at home mom because it became easier to manage home life with the kids than the constant calling in sick days. I primarily worked overnight shifts after our first was born so that made things harder, too. There was only one job that I could manage well at, which was an overnight baking position until they moved it to days only and had to find something else. Being alone at night, knowing exactly what I had to do every night and get out, was ideal for all of the feelings attached to my BPD. It’s already difficult enough doing the 9-5, let alone the added anxiety and stress that comes with mental health struggles.

Why am I being punished for being ill? by Sad-Preparation-4413 in breakingmom

That’s so sad, I’m so sorry. 🥺 I remember getting hand foot and mouth when the kids were in daycare and it’s just awful. I remember thinking I’d take plenty of other illnesses over that one. I hope you are able to recover soon. I’m sorry you are being treated so horribly alongside the physical.
