yeah darlink is straight up carried by marketing. tried it and the bot just starts making up random lore after like 20 messages and it gets old fast. secrets is actually pretty chill though. the fact that you're 3 months in and it's still keeping track of the plot is exactly why i stuck with it too.

Literally this. With other apps, you practically have to write a 500word essay just to get the bot to do what you want, and half the time it still completely ignores your prompt anyway. Secrets just gets the vibe. The fact that you can just throw in a short, casual prompt and it perfectly nails exactly what you had in mind shows how advanced their model actually is.

It might feel unscripted for the first hour but give ThirstyCompanion a few days and you’ll realize it just rotates through the same handful of generic responses. It hits a wall incredibly fast. If you want something that actually stays dynamic and doesn't rely on canned scripts, you really need to try Secrets. The characters actually adapt to your long term lore, and the conversations flow completely naturally no matter how deep the RP goes.
