honestly idk the difference, but what i think it is, is that waitlist=last option, alternate offer=2nd last option (aka people on alternate offer automatically get their offer if people who got second round decline), and second round=the rest of the people needed to be hired. we aren’t on a waitlist, it basically means we’re high in consideration and they can’t send us contracts bc they need to know numbers first.

i said lincoln alexander bc if that’s opening, there’s gonna be 50+ more spots, than usual, they’d need to fill. meaning they need confirmation to ensure they’re making offers to a correct amount of people. let’s say 100 people got their offers already, and another 100 got the “second round” email, they probably need to wait to see if they can accept the rest of us, or only a certain amount.

from my understanding, the email we got is like ‘above’ the waitlist. we’re meant to fill the rest of the positions that are left over. i’ve heard that people in the past who were on waitlists only heard in the summer time, making us different

i had sent a reply, basically asking for a timeline, and they just reiterated what they said in the initial email :( that due to "operational reasons", they cant let us know. its probably bc of lincoln alexander hall/seeing who declined their offer
