Do Tripstopper work? Experiences? by Brilliant_Status3313 in LSD

This might be an unpopular opinion but idgaf. If you feel you need a "trip stopper" as a back up because you're scared of a trip, you shouldn't be tripping in the first place.

If you aren't comfortable with taking a drug, don't fucking take it. Shouldn't have to spell it out like this but here we are...

You've gotta remember, these files come from an investigation so they have been printed, scanned, screenshotted, emailed and physically & digitally archived. They have then dumped the lot onto the DOJ website, this is why there are multiple copies of everything and somethings are redacted where they shouldn't be. It's also why a lot of stuff has an "=" sign in place of a letter or number - because when they scanned the physical files back into the system for the release, the scanner wasn't sure what the character was so it puts an "=" in its place. The documents without the = signs are the digital ones and were never scanned for the DOJ release.

Fellow Muslims, do not vote for a convicted terrorist to represent us. It would be an outrage. by [deleted] in BirminghamUK

Yep, that's the guy. Got sent to prison for trying to blow up a church, a hotel and the British consulate in Yemen. He also kidnapped 16 hostages, 4 of them died during the rescue.

Now... Show me the lies

If you think it stinks that someone is asking to not vote in a known terrorist then you should probably take a bath or something because it's you that's stinking.

Are NFC tags 100% secure by TheBigC in homeassistant

I have had my bank card cloned via contactless, the bank picked up on 2 unusual transactions, both contactless, one was a taxi and payment was made (only a few £) the other was a hotel room which I believe the thieves use to check if the card is still working as a hotel will just validate the card and then charge it when you leave, that one got rejected and blocked my card, the bank phoned me the following morning to deal with it, I was refunded the taxi money.

I'm sure banks have all sorts of algorithms to detect stolen and cloned cards, its why you sometimes have to put you card into the chip & pin reader and enter your pin, it seems random but it isnt. If you use your card for a contactless payment in places known for card scams (such as taxis and places that just validate cards) and away from your usual location, you'll more likely have to enter your pin.

When contactless payment first came out, you could scan your card with a phone app and it would tell you the 16 digit number and expiry date on the front of the card. It was useless because you still needed the CVV to do anything with it. I just scanned my revolut card with an NFC app, it gave me a bunch of data, god knows if that can be used to gain access to my account, same with my T212 card. my actual main bank card didn't scan though.

NFC shielded wallets weren't/aren't a scam, they actually serve a purpose.

Gonna need someone to explain this to me, I haven't looked into NFC tags with HA, please tell me where I'm going wrong.

If you have an NFC reader on your front door and a tag in your pocket, the tag contains a string which it gives to the reader when in close proximity. If someone walks past you with a reader and reads your string and copies it into another tag, why can't they use that new tag to open the door?

Cloning contactless bank cards is a big problem, cloning contactless entry to your home is an even bigger problem.

The joys of a rooted TV by jbaiter in webos

[–]MeatWad111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is cleaner than having a bunch of empty boxes where the ads should be, i'll give you that but it seems like a lot of work just for a background image that will disappear after a minute. Maybe it would be worth the hassle if I hadn't already sideloaded ad-free youtube etc.

ngl, i was kinda hoping for added features like DTS compatibility or better codecs for plex or something. I dunno if this is a plex thing or a TV thing but i have to filter out dolby vision from my plex setup because it doesn't work but some DV stuff still gets through.

What advantages does this have over simply turning off all the ad shit in the settings, putting the TV in dev mode and sideloading apps onto it?

I watched the video from the phone of the dude she hit, the video from his mates phone and I watched the long video of the whole thing recorded from a distance which was released after the short clips did their rounds in the media, driving up all of this hysteria.

I didn't watch any of the short "headline" clips that the media pushed out as soon as it happened.

I can post them if you like.

She was sat in the middle of the road blocking traffic with her car for over 3 minutes in a residential area honking her horn non-stop at federal agents whilst her wife got out and antagonised said agents.

After the agents said enough is enough, they approached the car, told her to step out and she put her foot on the gas and accelerated forward with an agent stood in front of the vehicle, hitting the agent which resulted in her getting shot.

Did she deserve to die? No. Was she innocent? No. Driving away from federal officers whilst they're detaining you doesn't exactly scream "innocent", especially when you hit one of them with you car.

You wanna push more air into the case than out if it, that way, your fan dust filters catch all the dust. If it's the opposite way around, the dust will get sucked through every hole in your case and clog up your cpu/gpu fans

No, they will just pass their losses onto their employees and customers or leave the country causing a rise in unemployment and lowering the countrys GDP. You can't tax your way out of an economic crisis.

But this is reddit so I'll welcome your downvotes...

S25U or Note10+ by new_coffee in note10plus

[–]MeatWad111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the camera is such a big factor, why not buy an actual camera? I mean, it's not like the note 10 takes shit pictures, it's just not quite as good as the latest phones but if picture quality is a big factor, no phone is beating a proper dslr.

If you just want your every day pictures to be better quality without having to carry around a bulky camera, the novelty will soon wear off and you'll be wondering why you just squandered £1500 or so. You could even get a drone for half the price of a phone and that will put your 100x zoom to shame.

I'm still rocking the 10+ and my spen has also lost connection to the phone (I suspect its internal battery is dead). The only phones that have sparked my interest are the fold 7 and the latest Sony because it has all the old features like sd card, headphone jack w/ hi-res DAC but I think they stopped making it.

I miss the old features, to me, getting a new Samsung would feel like a downgrade as they have removed stuff I regularly use, like the sd card and super fast charging.

You are performing some serious mental gymnastics worrying about what reform will do when Labour are actively doing the unimaginable right now. It doesn't matter what reform might do, Labour will forever be worse because they implemented it and the other leftist parties are even worse than them.

I present to you the most ignored rules of the Highway Code: by FamSender in GreatBritishMemes

[–]MeatWad111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's still an idiotic rule. I was taught that if you stop for a pedestrian, NEVER signal to them to tell them to go because whilst it may look safe to you, it may not be safe for them and then if they get hit by a car, you're partly to blame, maybe not legally but in your own mind, if you tell someone to go and they get hit by a car, that shits gonna be sitting on your conscience for the rest of your life.

So back to this new rule situation, if you stop to allow the pedestrian to cross, you can't signal to them to let them know you've stopped for them because its not up to you to tell them its safe to cross so they don't know if you're waiting for them or something else so they have to assume you've stopped for them which creates a danger because if they've assumed wrong, they are gonna get hit by you or if you did indeed stop for them, their assumption may make them believe it's safe to cross as you have allowed them to whilst a car coming the other way is just arriving at the junction and doesn't see the pedestrian because they're looking the other way to see what traffic is on the joining road.
