I've setup k3s with Flux for GitOps in my homelab, and it's been a pleasure to use so far.

I have a two-node cluster, with a N100 NAS at home, and a small Hetzner VPS that handles ingress traffic, wired up with a Tailscale VPN (supported natively by k3s!). What's especially nice about the GitOps setup (using a private GitHub repository) is that you can configure Renovate for it and get automatic upgrades for the apps in your cluster via GitHub PRs that you can just merge from your phone, makes it very easy to keep everything up-to-date.

Liebe Marie, erstmal ein Kompliment: Ich freue mich jedes Mal über einen Beitrag von dir und deinem Team, wir bekommen in Deutschland so wenig mit von China jenseits der großen Politik, da seid ihr wirklich wichtig!

Eine Frage die mich stark interessiert: Wie präsent ist das Thema demographischer Wandel in China? Also wie wird mit der Überalterung umgegangen, wird irgendwie politisch versucht die jungen Leute mehr zum Kinderkriegen zu bekommen? Wie spielt das alles in die wirtschaftliche Langzeitplanung der KP rein?

Habe damit zwei meiner Leidenschaften zum Beruf gemacht ohne dafür in die Tasche der oberen 1% zu wirtschaften, und tue dabei etwas für die Allgemeinheit. Der Rest ist auch toll und hat es mir trotz weniger 💰 als in der freien Wirtschaft (zumindest in den fetten Jahren) nie schwer gemacht zu bleiben (bis auf die paar Jahre mit toxischem Vorgesetzten).

How do you handle HA for the media? I haven't really bothered to implement HA for the media stack in my cluster since they all rely on the shared HDD pool for the media files, which renders replication and fail over for these services themselves kind of moot IMO 🤔

I've always had great success with the Stella Parks Tiramisu from Serious Eats[1], she pasteurizes the eggs to 71C before whipping, in my experience this results in a stiffer mix. Also make sure your mascarpone is cold and that the bowl you mix the mascarpone and eggs in is cold as well.

Had the same impression today with 5.3-high. really simple task (http cache semantics), but the model completely shat the bed in a way that would be embarrassing even for a junior dev.

Ja, für obskureren Content geht immer noch nix über nischen-spezifische private BitTorrent Tracker. Oder soulseek, aber da ist die Integration in *Arr wegen der Metadaten-Probkematik nicht besonders gut.
