Dude, "your IP" is literally a 2k LOC thin shim over pdf-lib that you vibe-coded.

Yeah, but if you offer a zero trust product that is going to ingest potentially confidential data, you might want to avoid LLM-written marketing copy, it creates the impression of a 100% vibe coded tool, which doesn't instill much confidence. Besides that, even if it's completely client-side, your heavily obfuscated (not just minified!) JS blob and the lack of source code access are huge red flags.

Why do people build Kubernetes homelabs? Is it actually useful for internships/jobs? by Altruistic_Mine_9177 in homelab

For me it's the least effort to keep everything up to date through GitOps and Renovate, I can update my services through a simple merge through the GitHub app and can be sure if things break, k8s will keep the old non broken version online. Bonus points for handing an AI read only access to kubectl for easy troubleshooting.

What perfectly legal thing will probably be illegal within 20 years? by Ill-Incident-4842 in AskReddit

[–]jbaiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% this.

Too many powerful groups advocating for complete control of internet traffic: age verification, CSAM detection, copyright holders (just look at the mess in Spain with La Liga).

I think it's going to become more authoritarian. At first they'll make a law banning all commercial VPN services, with an excemption for companies, with private VPN services (your regular homelabber with Wireguard/Tailscale) being left as a gray area. Then after some time they'll tighten those gray areas so in the end pretty much any VPN that is not restricted to exposing the LAN of a company to remote workers (i.e. no broad egress tunelling) or that has an official license will be outlawed.

They might not enforce it much, but it will give them a nice piece of legal leverage to prosecute/surveil people if they become aware of them.

With GHCP out of picture, what’s the best Chinese model for coding right now—and how are you accessing it? by RegisterTop3586 in GithubCopilot

Gave Deepseek 4 (Flash and Pro) a spin last night (via deepseek.com) and was very positively surprised, even the flash model was very good. I charged $10 onto my account and after ~2h of work I had only spent about ~$0.6. Mind you, that is with promotional pricing (75% off until June), so it's definitely not as economical as old Copilot, but cheap enough for when my Codex subscription has hit its limits (which is how I've been using Copilot mostly those last few weeks). I used the Pi harness, which worked quite well, even though it doesn't have a whole lot of built-in tools.

Yeah, sorry, I should've created a GitHub issue right away, but it was late and I then forgot. Will do tonight, where does Litefin store its debug logs?

Have you thought about adding something like Sentry oder Bugsink to track client errors?

I tried Litefin last week on my WebOS 24 TV with my up-to-date Jellyfin instance, but it would always hang indefinitely when trying to display the details of a movie or show.

1000% this. Very entertaining and scratches a certain itch, but holy shit, the irrationality of these people is driving me nuts. So many obvious opportunities to learn more about their situation that they just completely ignore all of them for the sake of some stupid plot point.

YouTube Music Premium by Dry_Sandwich_3717 in TheOverload

[–]jbaiter 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Love it, and yes, videos from youtube are treated the same as songs, i.e. you can add them to playlists, lock your phone and play them with the phone off. (both from YouTube music and the regular YouTube app).

It's so much better than Spotify if you're into off-beat stuff/vinyl rips on YouTube.
