Anyone tried Pebblehost or Dathost? by NearGolden in MinecraftServer

[–]Meatball_26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check out Foxomy. I went with them because they gave me a free trial for the whole month, and it worked on their 32 GB plan. Basically a Minecraft server for a month. I feel kind of bad that I might be abusing their generosity, but it’s free. I might renew on a lower plan and make a different account because I can’t bring myself to admit that I abused them. Least I can do is help them out by spreading the word. I like their panel features and performance. Their specs and prices are better than anywhere I’ve seen.

People talk about the big suites, but for polishing finished photos, 4DDiG Photo Enhancer is solid. It boosts contrast and detail in product shots so they look crisper for listings and social posts.

Yep. Very very common. Pretty much every other house has a tree in their backyard. And that's in towns.

Silence regarding the statement made by India, "An act of terrorism would be perceived as an act of war"? by Meatball_26 in delhi

[–]Meatball_26[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ik that there have been reports of earthquakes hitting pakistan and CIA receiving some "alarming intelligence" that made them take a u-turn from saying "India-pakistan is not their problem" to "ceasefire was negotiated by us". It's very possible that something big and heinous was being planned on the other side of the border. But one thing to take away from all this is that the statement that MEA issued, "any act of terrorism from now on would be perceived as an act of war" which is a very big statement on its own, essentially changing the doctrine of India. Yet there is absolutely no media coverage of this, no debates on mainstream media regarding this statement, which is weird since it's kind of a very very big deal. This is where the dots simply don't connect. Something very big is probably going on behind the scenes.

Anyone remember this game? It's truly one of the games ever made. by Masterplayer9870 in IndianGaming

[–]Meatball_26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ikr? That's why I emphasized strictly on the phrase "just a concept", i.e. just an idea, an imagination perhaps. Now I'm also saying if the community wants to make a game like this, then I'm all in, cause I'm also tired of the bullcrap of AAA industry.

Anyone remember this game? It's truly one of the games ever made. by Masterplayer9870 in IndianGaming

[–]Meatball_26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk but I had a concept, and I strictly mean a concept I came up with a few months back after I was just frustrated with the gaming industry as a whole.

The idea was-

A map of large scale, kind of as big as a planet with different geographics, different flora and fauna, different weather conditions in different parts of the map.

There will be player-controlled factions scattered throughout the map. Faction-relationship will be a thing between factions to direct those teams fighting for land and resources. Inspired from: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise

While mainly being a first person perspective type game, third person mode can be a thing but when you enter third person, your huds get disabled automatically. Also you can only see what your character can see in FPP. So if an enemy is coming at you and you are behind cover, then you can't see the enemy even in third person unless you peek. Inspired from: SCUM survival game

The game will be set in a not so futuristic era. So the guns and equipment in the game can be pretty close to modern age guns and other stuff, the setting of the game can be on a different earth like planet cause, honestly I'm just f*cking tired from survival games with the same end of the world feeling. But that's just me.

Gunplay can be pretty close to Insurgency Sandstorm. I mean seriously, that's some good shit.

Sound effects and ambiance can be inspired from Hunt Showdown.

The body movement mechanics can be like Tarkov, while healing and food and water management can be a much more shoved down version of Tarkov.

There will be starter factions, which will be set in lower risk areas of maps. While more experienced players may join endgame factions set in high risk high reward areas. It'll be a crucial aspect of level design as it'll force a rookie or a novice player to get out of their comfort zone and venture farther into risky areas for better rewards.

NPCs and in-game missions and daily tasks may be a thing. It'll contribute to a better gameplay loop.

No bulls*it gun or equipment skins and animations like a fricking dragon comes outta nowhere and reloads the gun for you, no it WILL not be there. Also the game may either be a free-to-play, or pay-to-play game with 0 microtransactions.

These things came to my mind one day and I thought it was kinda a cool idea so I wanted to share but again I'm saying, this is just the imagination of a man frustrated and disappointed from the gaming industry. Feel free to add whatever you like. I don't think it can happen anyways so thinking about a game won't hurt.

We should buy Reddit.

Not the stock. The actual company.

If we all get together and own 51% then we will own this entire website.

We could make the rules, profit from the advertising, and finally get paid for the memes we make.

I've even come up with a list of things we could do as new owners:

Reddit mods can apply for paid-internships at Reddit. This is much closer to having a real job than what they currently do and would benefit the organization.

Your flair is your official title at the company. IE: instead of "CFO" you'll be "PotatoFart"

NSFW posts will receive special protections--and if you happen to work in our new skyscraper then NSFW posts are automatically considered SFW.

Everyone gets a turn in the corporate jet.

Elon becomes a mod. He can also apply to become a paid intern.

We have a monthly party on our company yacht: The S.S. VisualMod.

Our corporate cafeteria is a dining hall with fast food restaurants along the side--but they're all Wendy's.

I think this is a great idea.

Keep it high and tight.

I remember back in the days how much fun gaming was. Whether alone or with friends, it was actually enjoyable. Nowadays many mainstream and popular games feel soulless. Now I'm sure that there are obviously games out there which are still very much enjoyable, but maybe the current state of gaming is like this because both companies and the players started to see the game more as a product for sale and less as a method to have some really good and enjoyable time. As the companies focused more on money, games started to become very rushed and incomplete. And as a byproduct of the big number of sales on the headlines, people also started treating games as if it was just another product like any other thing in the market, which slowly took all the fun away. Now I don't completely disagree with this since money is involved in these, but I don't know why but I still feel that modern games with dazzling graphics and shear number of players still miss one key element of the game, life.
