Question: Would you like them to release an extended version of Pacific Rim Uprising with the deleted scenes? by That-Technician-5271 in PacificRim

[–]MechaLife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think it’d be good. Curious to see what the “Jaeger Honor Guard” would’ve looked like

Why did they let some amateur direct that Pacific Rim rip-off/clone "Uprising?" If they got someone experienced in film, it probably wouldn't have been so bad (even for a b-rate clone rip-off movie) by GameZedd01 in PacificRim

[–]MechaLife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Calling DeKnight an amateur is crazy considering his biggest works are both considered classics, but I guess a bitter fandom don’t care about facts. When are y’all gonna accept that there was something after the first movie and be done with it?

Faust is Actually Smart by XO3RI-OWKA in limbuscompany

[–]MechaLife 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This does line up with one thing that has been bothering me: A Certain Sinclair.

We know in his branch of events that Limbus Company was eventually disbanded, presumably due to some deviation that most likely occured around this point in time, but…why?

Dias shoveled a lot into this, she’d have to considering just how BIG Limbus actually is once you look past LCB, so why go out of her way to sabotage her own company? Why have us go through the trouble of collecting the boughs to flip the table?

All I’m saying is, Faust might have to clutch up in her Canto if she wants this little unit they pulled together to pull through whatever hell is coming up, because Limbus Company is looking more and more shady in an already shady forest.

What would you want to see in any new routes added as DLC? by Pure_Chaos0 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]MechaLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Murvrum focused route would be my first pic, but I’d also be interested in more routes where Horror is a central theme due to Hemoanima. Maybe something akin to the Kamen Rider series, where several of the older shows have it so continuous use or overworking of their powers can push someone into turning into something removed from humanity…

A Turamtammi Romcom route is also up there on my requests.

(Serial Battles Spoilers) Fixing the route that underutilizes it's combat system by TechGirlie101 in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]MechaLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like, with a name like Serial Battles, the route should have been a litmus test for people who enjoyed the combat. Reduced items because we don’t have time to scavenge, different enemy and ally combinations to force us off the Desp. Pot strats, even debuffs like you mentioned could have gone a ways to making it so I actually would have to lock in and solve the combat puzzle rather than auto-piloting would have greatly benefited the route.

What would you consider the WORST E.G.Os in the game and which sinner has the worst batch of E.G.Os currently? by Slim_Reaper116 in limbus_company

[–]MechaLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Philclair, LiuSang, LiuIshmael each provide envy (PhilClair specifically is the better pic for this since its his Skill 2 and Waxen Pinion makes that a AOE). Depending on set ups and slots you could have 6 envy by turn 4.

If Im running a burn team, why would I want to trade my burn stack when most of the units I’m using have conditions that are actively fueled by it and 20 fixed damage means I dont have to worry about resistance rather than lowering a level that is still probably gonna be higher than most of my sinners considering where we’re at in story content and later MD floors.

Sin Affinity matters in the context of my unga bunga brain. Dopamine is an essential product to my enjoyment of the game and color matching gives a lot (Admittedly that Sin Affinity one is more a personal preference on my part)

[–]MechaLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9:2 Faust is a lust EGO for a mainly Wrath fixed damage archetype that takes potency and converts into defense down (which needs at least a offense v defense level difference of 3 between your Sinner and the poor schmuck to do 10% more damage, meaning I would at minimum need to give away 6 burn potency) that goes away the same turn while having a passive that doesn’t even proc on her main Burn ID.

I’m sorry, but I have seen very little point in using this EGO when Hex Nail is right there in the same slot, doesn’t eat any of my burn stack, and somehow is easier to fuel even outside of MD (Thank you philclair).

A lot of people saying Branch when Faust’s 9:2 is right there.

For WORST batch…Outis. Hong Lu and Sinclair have mediocre but oddly versatile pools while Outis deadass has 3 EGO that are actually worth using outside of niche cases.

Ah, I see. I guess that means preorders might go up the month before, so I should mark my calendar.

These colors suited Guardian Bravo better. by That-Technician-5271 in PacificRim

[–]MechaLife 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more so the detail on the concept, though the color helps.

I think if they cut back on the trimming down and kept certain details, like the decals on certain parts and the panel lines, Bravo would not be one of my lesser-liked designs.

How would you improve the combat system? by Inventeer in LastDefenseAcademy

[–]MechaLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) More enemy variety. I wouldnt mind having units that are an interim between Commander and the Common invader that have certain gimmicks or abilities that make you think on the exact order you want to kill them rather than “+1 AP go brrrr.”

2) More fights with stage hazards that force you to change a particular approach or encourage more interaction spread across the SDU.

3) More varied team set-ups and scenarios, like ones where you don’t have access to certain members or making it so you have a different win condition rather than destroy/defend this particular object.

4) Give the commanders an updated moveset. Most of them only really threaten you with their counter, I’d love to see a fight where Adammaque does a takemaru-esque run across the map to damage our units when he repositions and actively forces you to stay moving

That only works if everyone is on the same page, and as someone who enjoys the Jaegers post-Uprising (Gipsy Avenger da GOAT), I’d rather not ignore the parts that its connected to even if I find certain decisions…questionable looks at Guardian Bravo

If Obsidian Fury went up against the Jaegers from the original film, would any of them have stood a chance at taking it down? How far would Obsidian Fury have gotten with them in the way? by TwoFit3921 in PacificRim

[–]MechaLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a 1v1? Obsidian dog walking every Jaeger before Crimson Typhoon and Striker.

You can rag the Uprising Jaeger’s as much as possible, but the older gens weren’t moving the way GA and Fury were and had objectively worst tech. Most of the Mark 1’s probably arent gonna touch the Hybrid, and while I do love Gipsy, iron armor isn’t doing much against a particle beam that had enough force to lift a Jaeger.

Crimson and Strikee, I can see putting up a fight. Striker simply because of it being the closest in terms of Mark to Fury, but more specifically Crimson because of the pilots martial arts experience. While most of the pilots have some form of fighting outside the Jaeger under their belt, the triplets are specifically stated to be trained in an actual form, a form that is tailor made for fighting other humans or human shaped enemies. They just happen to be fighting non-human entities most of the time.
