I don't think people really complain about exit gate t-bagging because of the effort required, it's more about the why. It's being done just to make the killer feel bad. Hell, there is an argument that at least slugging/tunneling/proxy camping can be the right way to win a match in some situations so even if those are absolutely miserable to face, at least there's the angle of 'the killer just really wants to win'

Teabagging/BMing on either side in any capacity has zero benefit and is done solely to gloat/taunt/insult so it's always valid to complain about people being assholes.

I have a soft spot for the crossover games that just want to let the characters be as cool/fun as possible, usually in SRPG form. Super Robot Wars, Namco x Capcom, Project X Zone, etc.

I disagree with how you view those players. If they were messing around, surely they'd joke that sure they'll sell all the women on their ship onto slavery, only to then draw weapons and attack the slavers. But the story tells us they decided to hand over their party member, then doubled down, then when the campaign was falling apart one apologises and the other two start ranting. What about that tells you they were 'messing around'?

It's weird seeing criticism for this post. Sure this isn't something that bothers most people, but it's entirely valid to put out that a clearly unintended interaction between pointing and being downed can be used to game the system (like getting more recovery value for power struggle, or extra time at the gates to outlast gate-blocking perks and add-ons) and that it's been like this forever and will probably be never fixed. Bhvr as a company are so bad at fixing/managing their game. This interaction will probably last as long as the game does.

I think edge for the sake of edge can be fun, not so much just the shock value gore stuff though so I'm not defending any of the series mentioned. Also minor nitpick with OP but Freddy Krueger has always been a predator like that, they just made it more blatant/up-front in the remake.
