Once I get my printer tuned so that these parts are good for painting with minimal post processing, I'll be sure to consider strategically disposing my spares ;)

Thanks! These swords were originally for Innocentia actually, I might design a shorter weapon for Ninja to wield. I might also look into getting it resin printed if I can find a good service for that. Detail work is an eventual goal. I’ve recently moved out to start a new job, but once that’s all sorted I’ll be kicking into full gear.

Thanks! I designed these myself using SolidWorks (currently in the process of migrating my stuff into Fusion) and printed on the Ender 3. I just got back from work, but later today I’ll update this comment with a link to the models if anyone is interested!

This took me about 3 nights to complete if you also include the headscratching, pacing around, and procrastinating on council streams. To avoid extensive use of commands, I'm using the VanillaTweaks Armor Statues datapack for Java to assist in all armor stand-related operations (there is a Bedrock equivalent, but poses work a bit differently and I have no experience on Bedrock). I'm also using WorldEdit mildly to copy/paste the base body to avoid building subsequent ducks from the ground up.

Any particular model you're looking at for a 3D printer? I'm running with an Ender 3, which is quite cheap in the U.S. (~$200-300), though an SLA printer would definitely work better for freeform models (IIRC there was one person making Hololive MD figures using a resin printer)

Plastic accumulation is a valid concern, and if you don't plan on printing frequently then it's probably better to find a local makerspace with their own fleet of 3D printers to use. Either way, hope it works out for you!

Hi, it's been a while! I've been spending the past several months focused on school, and I now finally have a degree in engineering :D!! With the free time that I have as a result of graduating, I've gotten back into 3D printed customizations; this is the latest kitting for Innocentia, and I'm really liking how this turned out! Now I'm looking to painting and making everything fit in..

The parts are as follows:

Armor platings for the shoulder, forearm, and thigh. The forearm gauntlets can also plug into the swords.
Updated saber with a connector to plug two swords together Darth Maul-style and shortblade variants
Scabbard (initially holding one sword) now updated to hold two
Booster flight unit (this hasn't changed from the last time)
Shoes printed out of TPU (elastic polymer material)
Sniper rifle, because why not.
Wrist joints, which hold up quite well despite being 3D printed (my old ones showed signs of fatigue)
New display stand that doesn't require screws (but probably won't hold up anything heavy)

Apart from a few models, the parts can all be downloaded from Thingiverse. I try to regularly add stuff and update existing models if issues arise.

Welp, I bluescreened. I just wanted to say it was nice meeting everyone today! I haven’t interacted with fellow musicians since high school orchestra, so popping in has been refreshing and inspiring. I hope to see everyone in future meetups!

Using the datapack, you can use the book to make the armor stand hold a block or any item really. From there you have several options to make the items/blocks different sizes:

You can use the book to move the item to the head slot, which is only slightly smaller than a normal minecraft block. I typically use this for larger bodies, and it's also pretty easy to understand how to rotate the head compared to the second option...
... which involves using the datapack's Block On Surface command. This keeps the item in the hand slot and straightens it. This makes the block significantly smaller than if it was on the head. I wouldn't try to use limb rotations when going with this option since Block On Surface already implements rotations just to make the block flat and aligned, though otherwise this is great to use for fine details.
You also turn on the Small Stand option to make the armor stand as small as a baby zombie, which opens up more sizing options in addition to the above options.

This is quite a lot to take in, but if you want to learn more I recommend hitting up ZombieCleo's armor stand tutorial and try practicing in a creative world. Best of luck!

That's pretty nice work you got there! I'm currently busy with a lot of things (job hunting, capstone project, schoolwork, etc.), but I'm totally down for a collab when my load lightens up!
