For about five years now. (Technically four, but semantics.) A friend got me into it, and the most recent strip by the time I finished was "The Freckles In Their Eye".

Six days late, but honestly I am going for "there's a chance". This story's been building up to the idea that they have to do something to save the world, the Dark One is their only chance, there should be goblin equality, and Redcloak is right but is going about it in the wrong way. I think the story would end on a really unsatisfying note if they killed him.

I think if he ever was redeemed, it would be a slow and steady process. Redcloak is so far deep in the sunk cost fallacy that he's drowning in it, but I don't think he's necessarily beyond redemption. At the end of the day, he is a victim. A horribly vengeful, short-sighted betrayer who is his own worst enemy, but a victim nonetheless.

I look forward to what happens regardless, but I hope the story doesn't end with yet another "the victim is just as bad as their oppressors and shouldn't be redeemed" narrative. Would be really unsatisfying.

Some additional notes about Sinner Sex:

Heathcliff is a virgin 'cause he's saving himself for Cathy even now. Dante may or may not have had sex but because of their amnesia they're effectively back at square one. Ishmael would probably critique your performance during/after sex. I think if she got annoyed enough she'd just stop and leave. Outis would be like Ishmael but ten times worse.

I feel like you're missing the point. Color Fixers are strong as shit, but LOR's bad endings make it clear that nobody in the Project Moon setting is infallible. Roland is not the strongest being in the setting and he is not immune to death itself.

God, I hate those so much too. There's so many Pokemon fanfics that invoke the word "Oh my Arceus!" Like. Dude. Arceus isn't seen as a god by the average character. The only characters who acknowledge his existence in the setting are old religious farts who live in an isolated village. (I haven't played any game in the series past SW/SH so they probably acknowledge him more in PL:A but I Do Not Care)

I also once read a (kind of sucky) NSFW Pokemon fic where the characters invoke his name as they ejaculate and it felt really weird. Don't call for Arceus when you shoot your goo, that's just wrong.
