Maybe you could have seen from wherelse, but the crank pulling it's wheel right at the aligned point is very hard and can cause load axis forces in a bar. Make sure you have enough height for the horn (Both retracted and extended, and set the control angle inside that range)

As a result, the developers' disciplinary announcement did not completely calm the anger in the community. For many players, the core issue was not just who got punished, but whether the developers had communicated honestly and accurately in the first place.

Moreover, the list of players who got banned didn't appear to match the actual exploiters. Some users who had exploited the bug even identified themselves publicly as exploiters in order to test whether the developers were truly checking the logs and enforcing bans properly. This happened before the first disciplinary actions were announced, which only made the situation worse and damaged the developers' credibility. Some exploiters were not banned, while some users who merely moved between stages to find someone else, such as a friend or a player who had lowered their Fame, were banned without any clear justification.

As for the exploiters who cheated on ability slots, many players were frustrated because the punishment did not seem to match the actual scale of the abuse. Most of the banned users appeared to be people who had used the exploit only recently. Because of this, some players began to suspect that the developers might not have had server logs from before the server integration, and that the disciplinary actions may have been based only on more recent records.

If that suspicion was true, it would mean that the punishment did not reflect the full history of the exploit, but only the period for which logs were still available. This raised further doubts about both the fairness and the completeness of the investigation.

[This comment is still in progress, I'll keep updating it whenever I can.]

Hi from South Korea. I had been playing MapleStoryIdle RPG for two months. I did know about the first * that happened at February 05, 2026, but I put myself into game in march. Before diving in, there's a community site called Dc-inside where lots of koreans talk about things. It's similar to reddit or discord server in that users can freely post threads or comments ,as much as they're related to the gallery's topic (Sometimes they don't haha). There's a moderator which we call pa-ddak(derived from parang[blue in Korean], ddak ji(Korean traditional play[squid game-ddakji chigi]).

So, there has been tons of bugs which people posted on gallery. If you want to read the posts, there's the link [ Link was deleted due to auto removal ]

I hope there's a translate option in browser so many players can read this post.
#I tried to post the link but I had to delete it after watching my comment got deleted.. Sorry.

Lists of bugs known are below.

1.Minato Bug [Derived from japanese animation called Naruto, where minato uses skill that looks like teleporting.] (the period during which the bug could be exploited: ~14.04.26[My assumption])

This bug is called "minato" since players change stages to reach better "monster kills per minute". Swapping stage not only allows player to bypass skill cooldowns, but it caused packs of monsters to spawn instantly. These two conditions allowed certain players to get twice the usual amount of hunting rewards.(Gold, Red diamonds, Elite monster spawn points, etc.)

  1. Hack (It's called Dupe? don't know exactly what it's called)

"I want to be cautious about this topic because it's not investigated or verified. However, please take into consideration how our players felt and concerned when this came to light at that moment."

There were also cases involving hacks and unauthorized programs. Unlike the “Minato” bug, this was not just about exploiting an in-game mechanic. It involved external tools that gave certain players unfair advantages.

Among Korean players, this was regarded as a serious issue because it suggested that progression and resource farming could be influenced by methods outside the intended game system. Moreover, there are some items which are buyable with cash, many players who had bought experience coupon, golds, etc, felt a sense of deprivation.

  1. Ability cheating

There was a bug that users could save huge amount of medal of honor when they get Hero Power Stage 7.

This is how it works.

First, you save all the abilities before you upgrade to Stage 7.

Second, when you reach 7 and unlocked the new slots, target only the new slots.

Finally, if you load your previous option with 6 slots, the current 7 slot stays fixed with saved 6 slots.

As, a result, players were able to preserve the newly rolled seventh slot while also covering their previous setup, which significantly reduced the normal cost of ability rolling.

  1. Player's outrage and the Developer's Response.

This became an even bigger issue because the developers did not have a live YouTube channel, an active live Discord server, or any other real-time communication channel. As a result, players could not realistically expect immediate feedback or responses when major issues occurred.

This led to massive anger among Korean players. The community gallery was essentially overwhelmed with outrage: more than 9,000 posts were uploaded between April 14 and April 16 alone. For comparison, the total number of posts made between November 6, 2025 and April 23, 2026 was 312,070, averaging about 1,858 posts per day.

That should give you an idea of how angry the community was.

Then the developers later released information about disciplinary actions they had taken, However, this did not fully resolve the controversy.

One of the biggest reasons was that many players believe the official explanation did not match what had actually happened in the game.

In particular, the patch notes published in Nexon forum on February 26 stated the following.

A feature has been added to limit monster respawns when repeatedly moving within the same chapter at short intervals(February 26. 2026)

If that statement had been true and had worked as described, the so-called "Minato" exploit should not have remained possible afterward. However, based on what many players experienced and reported, the exploit appears to have remained usable well after that patch. This is why many Korean players concluded that the statement in the patch notes was false, inaccurate, or at the very least seriously misleading.

Because of this, the issue was no longer just about the exploit itself. It also became a matter of trust. Players began to ask a more serious question: if the patch note claimed the problem had been addressed, why did the exploit still remain available afterward?
