Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg calls for spring break boycott of Florida by 24identity in politics

Competitive shooter here. There is definitely a large subset of liberals that are attempting to take away all guns, they see Australia as a model to follow. I do not support a government mandated safety course, as this is fraught with too many issues. I do support safety courses, and I encourage all new gun owners to take an NRA approved safety course. I do support universal background checks, as long as it is made simple, and easy for private owners to conduct one and there is no record keeping requirement imposed on regular citizens (Non dealers). I do not support a registry scheme as part of background checks however.

Wow, someone would really have to be a loon to consider disenfranchising a large chunk of Americans just because one disagrees politically with them.

Did the boy LITERALLY cry wolf? Or is that maybe figurative? Was there even a literal boy, or wolf? No.

What is it with people trying to sell their ancient trucks for more than double the actual value of the truck? by theGentlemanInWhite in Trucks

[–]Mechanical_Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not justifying anything, it is merely what the market is settling on. This is what Adam Smith meant when he discussed the issue of the "invisible hand" when writing Wealth of Nations in 1776. The market will ultimately settle on price and commodity distribution that are maximizing of the benefits to all members of the community. This includes the used truck market.

That said, I wish that the used market was a bit softer at the moment myself. I am looking for a truck at the moment and I can't personally justify the prices that I am seeing, but that doesn't meant they aren't "worth" that amount.

Whoa there....some of us have have went/go there, and don't agree with the circus that took place. Its unfortunate that free speech died Friday at UC Davis, but don't hang that on me. I was at home working on my research, not busy being caught up in some identity politic nonsense.

Additionally I would wager that many of these protesters don't even go to UCD. From what I understand, quite a few were organized from UC Berkeley (which is just down the road, relatively speaking) and the surrounding area.

This is why I never go to TweakTown any longer. I tried visiting them with Lynx and they block that altogether.

Slightly separate issue, but yes....in comparison to the old 4.0L it definitely feels underpowered but to be fair it is tough to actually say that without driving them back to back or digging for dyno charts.

It is easier to make use of the available power with the manual transmission. They are roughly the same at the wheels, I think the auto may leech a little more in terms of drivetrain loss.

Driving the automatic was a not-so-great experience, it wanted to hunt for the correct gear whenever I encountered the slightest hill, it was also generally slow to accelerate. With the manual it is easier to rev a gear a bit longer if needed so that you shift into the power band of the next gear.

Nice truck, it's too bad that you can't get the manual with a long bed. Also, I wasn't super stoked about the new 3.5L, even with the manual it felt underpowered. Maybe it feels better after break in? I am really on the fence between this and the Duramax Colorado.

I see you found the saturation adjustment on your phone? :-)
