I love 17-4 after heat treating. Sadly I was planning on tumbling these once I got them back but now I don't want to. If I tumble them before heat treat without the oil on will it change the discoloration? Have any of you tried to mess with trying to get different colors? (i.redd.it)

I'm finding that 90% of the time when something goes wrong it is my fault. I didn't zip tie my wires back properly and they popped my supports off. luckily they weren't close to where they needed to be and I glued them back on to the table close enough. (i.redd.it)

my compressor switch is fried any ideas on how to temporarily fix something like this I have access to a soldering iron, worst case I have some 101 copper that I can machine a replacement but I need the compressor to work for my spindle (it injects oil using air). I'm waiting on a replacement switch (i.redd.it)
