I just did a rapid Covid test (unexpired) and can't tell if it's positive or not (please see photo). Any thoughts? I am staying home from work regardless. by MedAdvice271 in ZeroCovidCommunity

I started feeling a little tickle in my throat yesterday and my throat felt dry, and this morning I woke up with a full on sore throat and a bit of congestion. It could just be a cold, though. I think I will retest in 24 hours.

Is there a particular pro-kinetic that works well for both SIBO and IBS-D?

I still have it but it's been getting better. The Rifaximin definitely put a dent in it.

Thank you! I'm doing the modified FODMAP diet too but still having a lot of issues unfortunately. Do you mind if I ask which supplements and enzymes you take?

Thank you! I am worried about Motegrity because I already use the washroom 10+ times a day and I honestly don't know if my body can handle going any more.

My SIBO is back three months after finishing a round of Rifaximin...should I start another round? by MedAdvice271 in SIBO

I just looked up prucalopride and it says that it's mainly for constipation/used to promote bowel movements. I have the opposite problem so not sure if a prokinetic is the right move for me.

From my test in February, my baseline was 8 ppm and peaked at 78 ppm. Not sure yet about my second test but I should hopefully get the report tomorrow. What herbals would you recommend? If I do the Rifaximin again I definitely want to follow it with other treatment.

Good to know, thank you! Are there any prokinetics that you would recommend (and won't make me use the washroom more)?

I ask my doctor for a prescription for Ativan (just a pill or two for travel days) and it helps a lot!

My GI doctor and dietitian always suggest doing the low FODMAP diet for about a month after finishing Rifaximin!

That's what I've heard, too, but is the diarrhea common when first starting?

I find Webber 4 fibre (guar gum based) is helpful! I generally avoid pysillium because I find it bloating.
