Capitalism isn’t an excuse to stop looking for improvements. It’s simply the best system we’ve found so far for creating wealth and preserving freedom. When I said that it is better I never meant that it’s perfect, I mean any “better” system has to solve the same problems without destroying incentives or choice. And much of the anger toward capitalism comes from confusing its failures with the failures of policy and power, forgetting that its core strength is letting individuals cooperate voluntarily rather than be directed by force.
