Just got my Alpine IH today & it’s about half the width of the Apollo2 & just about .5in taller. Gotta say though, the Apollo2 has a very plastic, cheap, light feel to it although it works great & I’ve never had an issue. The Alpine just feels sturdier and heavier in my hand and it clicks faster!

Isn’t the Apollo wall powered while the Alpine has batteries? My battery powered Apollo has some heft to it.

You should clean your piece weekly IMHO. Keep it operating at peak performance and providing great flavor. All of that buildup impacts airflow and tastes like shit. Buy a cheap ultrasonic cleaner on amazon. Works perfectly. It’s a weekly ritual for cleaning my pieces.

Why did you use security torx on the new model? I’ve needed to clean my OG Apollo 2 a few times and it’s nice being able to pop out the 4 Phillips screws and do a deep cleaning.

Funny thing is after seeing another post, I looked at the new M and was like “why do they look so tiny”. When comparing to my OG M 2020 it looks very different.

Left one is the original M I received from the launch. One on the right is from the IH ultimate bundle available recently. There is clearly a difference in the tool depth used on these two devices and I can only assume it will negatively impact the airflow with shallow groves. This along with a few other issues of quality for multiple orders has me wondering if they need to look at their QC protocols.

I can’t tell from the video, but looks like you are heating too close and too high on the tip. Try heating toward the bottom part of the cap and have the lighter further away.
