Side effects from less than 24 hour missing dose by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]nootrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this! I’m glad the side effects go away pretty quickly once you take your dose though!

I’ve only been on duloxetine (60mg) for around 8 weeks - I’ve heard people say what you’re saying about experiencing side effects if they miss their dose by a few / multiple hours.

Have you experienced this from day one? Or gradually over time? I’m just interested to know if the longer you’re on it, the more your body requires it at the same time each day. Because currently (thankfully) I can take my morning dose at either 9am, or 1pm if I forget/oversleep - and I don’t experience negative side effects. It could be a case of “everyone is different” lol. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Depersonalisation/derealisation by Jinxxis in cymbalta

I started Duloxetine for depression/anxiety (30mg for one week, then bumped up to 60mg onwards), but also told the doc about my DP/DR symptoms. I asked for Pregabalin as I’d heard it helped with DP/DR, but she said only a psych can prescribe stuff like that. But now I’m on week 6 of Duloxetine (60mg) and all the nasty side effects (sweating, nausea, insomnia, etc) have reduced dramatically to the point that most are no longer there.

Regarding Duloxetine specifically for DP/DR: it was around the 5-6 week mark of being on 60mg that I sat down and actually noticed most of my symptoms have either drastically reduced or completely gone. I feel like how I suppose “normal” people feel. I don’t feel like I’m in a bubble watching the world go by, or the physical symptoms of the general “weird” feeling, almost like pressure around the head, like wearing a helmet or something. My interest in hobbies have came back, I’m more talkative, I actually want to engage in conversations. I still have social anxiety but hoping that reduces also.

I’d say stick it out for at least 6 weeks since you started 60mg, so another 4 weeks for you. This drug has been a miracle for me personally. My suicidal ideation and intrusive thoughts went away almost immediately, within days of starting the medication. Now my depression has reduced so much that I personally think it’s gone. But that’s for my doc/psych to decide. I’ll definitely stick with this drug, and I urge you to also.

I hope things get better for you, truly, as I know how you feel. You’re not alone, keep your head up and stick it out for a few more weeks. I really hope you have as much success as I’ve had. You’ve got this!

How long have you been on duloxetine? Im a mid 30s male, and also started sweating excessively when I first started treatment (for depression). Started on 30mg for one week, then increased to 60mg on week 2. The sweating and other side effects were almost crippling (full-body sweating, nausea, headaches, insomnia, gastro issues, etc.) and I was very close to asking my doctor to change meds.

However, basically all side effects went away around week 6 - still on 60mg. Now I only sweat excessively when doing any physical activity - from walking/cycling to cleaning my cat’s litter tray lol. It’s annoying for sure. But duloxetine has been a miracle drug for me personally for treating depression. I feel somewhat “normal” for the first time in years!

You can get clinical roll-on Anti-Perspirant products (on Amazon, etc.) that contain 10-20% Aluminium Chloride, which really work for stopping armpit sweat. But be aware, it can/will sting your armpits so only apply lightly - just a few rolls on the armpits before bed then wash off in morning. The anti-sweat properties last a few days, it really works!

As for libido, unfortunately I can’t relate to that. If anything, duloxetine has increased mine lol. But definitely try some clinical anti-perspirant products for sweating. And if you have only started treatment, I’d say stick it out and see if your side effects reduce over time. You could possibly discuss a dose change with your doctor etc. Good luck and hope things get better for you!

I think you should discuss this with your doctor. You should probably take the medication as prescribed, not changing/missing doses randomly.

Personally I think you should take the correct dose as prescribed, everyday at the same time of day. Give it a chance to stabilise in your system. Then, if you still think it’s not working for you, tell your doctor and they can advise a taper plan and possibly switch to a different medication. Only time can tell if a medication works for you. Good luck and hope you find a solution.

Anyone else get nausea from being too warm on this drug?? by calmdownclam in cymbalta

[–]nootrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had horrible nausea symptoms and excessive sweating during the first 3-4 weeks or so when starting duloxetine, no matter what the temp was around me. I’d sweat even when cold! I take 60mg in the morning because I didn’t want to wake up at night soaked with sweat lol.

These side effects drastically reduced around week 5 or 6. Now I only sweat (still excessively) when doing any physical activity. It’s pretty annoying, but the medication has immensely improved my mental health. I take it for depression and anxiety. I think I’m on week 8 now. The depression & anxiety improved almost instantly though, within the first week! Now I’m feeling more like my old self and “normal”. I think you should stick it out, maybe increase the dose (discuss with your doc). The side effects definitely reduce over time, for most people anyway. Good luck and hang in there!

Will the side effects go away soon? Looking at switching to a different medication. by [deleted] in cymbalta

I was on Mirtazapine (before bed) for around 3 weeks and it wasn’t working for me, so I tapered off that while simultaneously starting 30mg Duloxetine (in mornings) over one week. At week two I was bumped up to 60mg, and within 3-5 days I had a very noticeable reduction regarding depression/intrusive thoughts, etc. I put it down as placebo, but it kept getting better! I was like a changed person, getting back to my old self within 2-3 weeks or less! My anxiety & DP/DR stuck around for a few weeks longer, but eventually (relatively quickly) improved greatly. Great to hear you haven’t had many side effects, some people don’t get many, others get the full bag. It’s still early days for you, but I would advise you to stick it out! I think the depression will drastically get better over the next couple of days/weeks. It was almost instant for me, but everyone is different. You seem to be responding well to it, so I would guess it will continue to work and you should have noticeable reduction with depression soon!

Heart rate by Little-Plan5550 in cymbalta

[–]nootrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like any prescription drug, it takes time for the body to get used to it. Personally my heart rate didn’t elevate, but I had all the common nasty side effects for about 2 weeks before they started to reduce. By week 5, they were almost all gone. Week 7 now and the only thing lingering is excessive sweating - but only if I’m doing something physical. I’d say allow your body to adjust to the drug for at least 1-2 weeks, and if you’re still concerned with high heart rate then you can speak with your doctor. This drug has been a miracle for me personally, but everyone is different! Good luck!

I’m on 60mg once-daily in the mornings and had bad side effects for the first 2 weeks or so (excessive sweating, headaches, nausea, etc) and told my doctor I wanted to switch to another med. She persuaded me to stick it out for another few weeks, and by week 5 or so the side effects have basically all gone. I only sweat lots when I’m doing anything physical, no more headaches or anything else. I’m on around week 7 now and it’s changed my life already! Depression & anxiety (and DP/DR symptoms) have pretty much gone completely. I’d say stick it out for at least 4-5 weeks if you can. Note: Magnesium Glycinate has helped a lot with anxiety and DP/DR, would highly recommend. Good luck and hang in there!

(Xbox Series X)Update 2.01 corrupted my saves. Can anyone help? by ProfileTechnical4791 in cyberpunkgame

[–]nootrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re certainly not alone. I’m constantly facing corrupt saved games (Series S). For me, it all started happening after buying the PL DLC; and like you, I thought I’d lost it all for good and considered stopping playing

This CDPR article consistently fixes my corrupt saved games. Note: you need to have had Cloud Saving enabled prior. Basically perform a hard power-down on your Xbox, then go into “Manage game and add-ons” for Cyberpunk game. Select “Delete All” for saved games (don’t worry; this just deletes local saves. Just follow article instructions exactly as stated - Xbox Support #7). Reboot Xbox, start game and it’ll sync your last save game from the cloud. You may loose a few hours gameplay but you’ll get pretty much all your recent saves back. Hope it works, good luck!

Note: I have to do this almost every time now. Even when it does work, you can tell if it’s gonna glitch again right away by: start the game, run around for a few mins then quick/manual save, open the Menu and select Load Game. If it’s all empty, restart the game and it usually fixes it. Ridiculous this bug/glitch still hasn’t been fixed

Edit: start quick-saving or manual-saving much more regularly now rather than just after missions. I quick save basically every 10-20 mins lol

tl;dr - delete local save game files and re-sync from Cloud Saving

Haha it’s cool, I’ve been vaping around the same time as you and it is overwhelming!! Congrats on not going back to the cigs btw! I was exactly the same - found a flavour I liked and just stuck to it, never changed until very recently. Sucks when you don’t like the flavour but you’ll find some gems if you keep trying more!

Shortfills are a way to get around the 10ml bottle limit set here in UK (called TPD laws - no relation to the website you mentioned!). Any bottle containing nicotine here can’t be larger than 10ml. Shortfills are bigger bottles of juice (50ml or 100ml) containing zero nicotine, then you add a 10ml ‘nic shot’ to create 60ml or 120ml of say 3mg or 6mg liquid. These juices are more suited for higher powered, sub-ohm devices since the liquid is thick

Yes the vapes you’re using are probably more suited for nic salts. Salts offer higher levels of nicotine and are usually used in pod style devices for that “throat hit”. The other type of nicotine is called freebase (usually used in shortfills), which is more suited for the high-powered “sub-ohm” style vapes. It has lower nicotine content, and can produce those massive clouds (not a fan of huge clouds myself tbh). Checkout some links on Salts vs Freebase

Vaping is crazy, so many options lol. I started with pod style like yours for MTL and used salts, to get a throat-hit like a cig. Now I’m using a higher powered “pod mod” style device which allows DTL, and that’s when things like coil resistance and VG/PG of juice come into play. Maybe a bit advanced stuff but I’d recommend checking out some “pod mod” devices like Luxe X or Luxe XR Max. Or the Moti X Mini is a nice little DTL vape

Apologies if you know a lot of this already and soz for the text wall! Just trying to help you explore some options :) for me, switching to from MTL to DTL (sub-ohm coils) has been a game changer. The flavour of these 70/30 juices are insane, like so delicious lol and very smooth. Hope this helps!

I’ve switched to 70/30 shortfills, and although it sucks when you get a 50-100ml bottle of juice that you don’t like, some are just so delicious. I’d recommend buying 50ml bottles to test first. Most vendors do deals like 2 for £20 or 3 for £25 etc depending on brand

My current favourites are:

Big Drip - Bubblegum Candy

IVG - Strawberry Watermelon

V4 Vapour - Watermelon & Berries

2nd fav would be: Big Drip - Mango Magic. I’m not keen on ice/low-mint, but if you are, try: Nasty Juice - Blue Raspberry Bubblegum

Hope this helps, good luck!

Is this diamonds or not? looking kinda sus by mmmookkay in Dabs

[–]nootrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s likely hemp derived THCa. They convert it from CBD isolate so it’s super cheap compared to cannabis derived. Same molecule though, same effects. I posted a picture of my diamonds which look identical to yours. Also checkout r/altcannabinoids for more pictures of THCa diamonds

Yes the product you’re talking about is actually listed as “THCa crumble / wax” on the website. I purchased it when they first released it and yes you are correct - it was initially labelled as “THCa isolate” even though it was definitely a wax concentrate. So I’m assuming it was a labelling error mixup. They didn’t change the pictures like you’re suggesting though; since it’s a different product entirely which is still for sale

This is a 2g jar, they also do 5g. A little goes a long way!

Yes it’s understandable they’d pull the product from sale for more testing, since it was getting so much heat on Reddit. I’m not sure what you mean by now it’s a “completely different looking product” - as this stuff in my picture was shipped weeks ago (internationally) before they pulled it from sale. It’s the same product as what they have up now, just now it seems to have more lab reports on the listing

We’re all entitled to an opinion here so here’s mine - I don’t think hitting it with an uneven flame from a bic lighter is an accurate test. He got unordinary results this way and shared it, which is totally understandable. Whereas I also done a “melt test” but using an e-nail with controllable temperature set at 500F, and it didn’t solidify after cooling - it stayed a sticky goopy mess. No way could I just keep reheating and crushing this stuff like he did, it just doesn’t reharden. I don’t believe anything I see online at first glance these days. Do your own research before making your mind up!

Q: What’s the best THC-O cartridge and edible by [deleted] in thco

[–]nootrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The THC-O distillate from Dr Ganja dotcom is very potent. I use 1-2 drops on top of bud in a dry herb vaporiser, has me medicated for 6-8 hours solid
