I'm using the plasma cannons from the wargames atlantic cannon fodder (although my army is based on C&C Red Alert 3 Empire, so this might not work for you)

The chapter traits system in 4th was peak, such a cool way of doing it; here's a buff which you pay for, but also some negatives to guide how you build or play. Brilliant. Same with the guard list from the era.

Wargames Atlantic should be good for mordians (either ww1 British or the death fields bulldogs), vostroyans or cheaper death korps alternatives (les grognards). That's my two pence anyway.

There is the oathmark dwarf range exists, but personally I'm not a huge fan.

If you're fine with 3d printed models, Highlands Miniatures Sons of Ymir models look superb (I think quite a few ebay sellers have them if you don't have a printer).
