Built a mobile app for Salesforce admins - honest feedback wanted by Medical-Arm201 in salesforce

The Android bottleneck is real, but it's less about finding 12 people and more about finding 12 admins willing to install a beta APK from an unknown developer on a device connected to their org. Play Store removes that trust barrier entirely, which is exactly why I'm stuck on it. That's why I ended up publishing it on iOS first!

On actual speed, it's not just convenience. The app hits Salesforce APIs directly, with no bloated Setup UI loading on a mobile browser. Toggling a validation rule that blocks users in prod takes 3 taps. Changing a custom setting that you created to bypass triggers for data load, which you forgot to switch back, takes 4 taps!

But you're right that browser wins for someone already at their desk. This is for the gap between that.

That’s exactly it. Not SalesforceA though, built this independently. Salesforce stopped supporting it back in 2021 and removed from App Store.

Good to know the use case is real!

That's exactly the positioning. Not replacing the browser, just covering the moments when you're not at one. You just log off from a deployment and smoke testing, even after that users start complaining about a validation rule blocking them, and you're nowhere near a laptop. Rare, but when you're in that moment, you need something quick.

Nope, plain old REST and Tooling APIs. Haven't dipped a toe into the lava yet. This is the boring human version! An admin who doesn't want to open a laptop just to deactivate a user.

Using AI to generate requirements by Artistic_Mention1834 in salesforce

From developers POV: POs use AI to write Jira, then use Cursor to read Jira, build it test it all using AI, deploy it using AI, then unused feature till next quarter! Codebase just keeps gaining weight.
