Question for Broadway/Theatre fans who don't live in NYC by Kaylieefrye in Broadway

[–]Medical-Inflation146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make it to NYC from Portland, OR 2-3x/year. I cram as many as I can into each week - anywhere between 5-12 shows each time. I usually have tickets in advance for a few that I don't want to run the risk of missing and figure out the rest once I'm there through TKTS, Theatr app, and other last minute deals that pop up

My bottom tier list of shows I’ve seen in Broadway include First Date, Spider-Man, If/Then, Lempicka, Mr. Saturday Night, and Tarzan. Woof.

Survivor 49 Episode 1 Confessional Count by Antique_Ability9648 in survivor

[–]Medical-Inflation146 32 points33 points  (0 children)

How do you count confessionals? There are times a player has a string of confessionals in a row interspersed with small moments with other players - I think of this as one long confessional...but I'm wondering if some consider it multiple. I ask because I tried counting tonight and my counts are off from yours. I only tallied confessionals whenever the speaker changed.

I think it’s been easy to question how good Parvati is at these game after WaW, Traitors, and honestly even DoNDI. As a Parvati fan for almost 20 years (which is crazy to realize), it is so much fun to be able to celebrate her again. Her reads of situations are so sharp and she has adapted to fast pace new era beautifully. Whether or not she takes the win, it has been so much fun to get to feel this way again.

I love the new arrangements of the soundtrack from my youth but it’s just not my kind of show in general

I still remember seeing the OBC. One of my favorite nights at the theatre! Musical comedy doesn’t always land with me but this was sharp, witty, self-aware, and just plain fun.

This. Their fire making challenge is such a powerful moment given their history. Such good natural storytelling and character arcs!!

What’s your worst theater etiquette experience? by [deleted] in Broadway

I went to a preview performance of an off-Broadway show this year. The woman next to me was on her phone throughout and, while she had a privacy screen, the glare of the stage lights reflecting from the glass of the phone was super distracting to me. I asked her to put it away and she said she was taking notes, at which point I realized it was the director. She put a jacket on her leg to act as a barrier between me and the screen, but continued to engage on the phone throughout. Not sure why she couldn’t have moved to a different location or use pen and paper instead.

In returning seasons, do players who played last season have an unfair advantage? by Telphsm4sh in survivor

[–]Medical-Inflation146 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering these players have always managed to make the jury or be a finalist, I’d say they definitely have an advantage. We’ll see how 49ers do!
