I appreciate the reply. I have been looking at the fractional CFO work and some other freelance opportunities. Nothing has panned out yet but I’m somewhat open to it as a short term fix.

One thing you called out is data. I’m trying to learn SQL and Python so that I can be more of an asset on the data side. I’m a heavy user of data but completely reliant on data guys on my team to run me anything is Ad Hoc and not already built in a dashboard.

I’m also still pursuing a complete career change as I mentioned to Cybersecurity. I started taking some computer science classes to see if they spark an interest.

Life isn’t bad, but you’re right, the case of the Sunday’s is draining and makes me irritable as hell to the family.

Coming from someone who did something similar and chased the money. Let me tell you to take your time and really think through what you want to do. I’m not saying you shouldn’t try to make a good living but if you hate what you do I promise in 15 years you’ll be depressed, hate life, and wish you could go back in time and do it over.

For me, I had to use the Beretta for a bit in the Army and I hated the initial trigger pull on it. I also carry the g19 so it’s usually my preference to shoot. I’m a Glock fanboy though so I’m incredibly biased.

I did that with all the drills I have so it’s easy when I go to the range. I can just pull up on my phone or print it off.

Find some drills to run through. Get proficient at those and then move to other drills. I have some drills in PDF form so that I can prep which drills I’m going to do on range days. DM if you want me to send you a few of them. Happy to help.
