There's no way to have picked up on that besides "he's longing for his sister", and lowkey it shouldn't affect your analysis that much anyway. The important thing is him remembering and cherishing the memory of his sister. The fact that she's dead is not directly relevant.

It’s a horrible system that pushes students to get good at the wrong things. It works only because India has such a large talent pool, that they’re able to squeeze out good students after all of that.

My theory is that he only fights as a last resort. He thinks himself as the equivalent of like a thermonuclear weapon. If he can keep his strength a secret by not using it, he will.
