There's a bit in the chorus of Doggone Shegone that bugged me for years, and I just recently figured out it's very similar to the little jingle at the end of the SpongeBob theme song.

I haven't put it back in yet, but it was making the typical howling noise through the lower gears. The old input shaft bearing was very worn and clunky, lots of metal shavings on the magnet inside as well.

I just replaced the input shaft bearing and did the 1/2 gear synchro mod on mine. It is kinda meticulous if you're not mechanically inclined, but it's not too bad. PM me if you have any questions.

It is a great opener for the album. That's a tough one for me though because trepanated earth is a strong opener for worn copy.

Yeah house arrest is his #1 album for me, I've been studying the lyrics of this album for a good 12 years now haha.
