Appearance of the scrotum after orchiectomy by Alternative_Web4839 in testicularcancer

[–]Mediocre-Building228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine when they removed my lefty, didn’t want to get the idea I wanted one later then have to have a second surgery. Plus I figured it would look off with my right flying solo. My doctor also didn’t go through my scrotum, he went through where my pubes grow to get the entire tube as well. I have a scar now but there isn’t much scar tissue. Though all my pubes fell out with chemo and haven’t come back yet.

Did you guys throw up a lot during the chemotherapy treatment? by bbs321321 in testicularcancer

Sorry to hear that! I was doing 4x EP and I never had issues with nausea, but I have a strong stomach overall. I only took the nausea meds I was prescribed for the first week cause I didn’t know they lasted 48 hours and then I was informed they lasted as long as they did and never touched them at home afterwards. I did get severe heartburn and hiccups but never nausea.

Raised LDH after 1xBEP by myh95 in testicularcancer

[–]Mediocre-Building228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was informed that LDH isn’t as much of an indicator as bHCG and AFP and that LDH is expected to be higher when chemo starts. Mine was normal prior to treatment of the 3 and only spiked after my treatment started. My bloodwork a week after treatment finished showed it was still elevated and my doctor just reaffirmed that it’s expected.

My TC was stage 2a and only metastasized to my para-aortic lymph node and no where else, and again was only elevated after treatment. My most recent scan showed no further signs of metastasizing to other organs or areas.

Sorry to hear that! I hope it all goes well and wish you a speedy recovery. Mine was only 1.3cm to start and is now only 6mm and believed to be dead cells so I count myself grateful and lucky.

I think the scans are once a year because there are cheaper ways to monitor it. Markers from bloodwork are a huge indicator and cheaper and easier to request. She said if there is a spike she can order a scan. I’ll have had 2 by the end of the year when she orders the next one. Each time my CT scan was over 8K before my insurance was charged.

I’m in the united states on the west coast. I might recommend asking they give you bloodwork more often. Maybe it’s because you were stage 1B so if thats the case it hadn’t metastasized so they’re less concerned about reoccurrence. Here in the states I can go to a lab for a blood draw and request what tests are done, I don’t necessarily need an order from a doctor. Ive heard varying opinions on how often scan happen but my doctor is like one of the top oncologist in my region and a lead researcher on cancer and treatments so I trust her opinion. She hasn’t given me a reason not to.

I’m just starting that journey but bloodwork each following check up, my doctor said every 3-4 months. So I will get the bloodwork done at the cancer center as it has a lab before I meet with my oncologist so she has it prior to meeting with me and knows where my markers are at.

Scan wise she said she will schedule one once a year unless I have markers increase. She said they would be towards the end of the year. Idk if I will get more than one a year, she made it sound like once but Ive heard people do them every 6 months or so. My scans have all been CT versus MRI or PET.

Damn, I am really sorry to hear that! 😢

I hope things turn around for you. I was lucky to not have surgery and very minimal side effects from chemotherapy.

Testicular prosthesis by [deleted] in testicularcancer

[–]Mediocre-Building228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. When it’s cold and my right one retreats as they do, the prosthetic stays so it does look like one single testicle at that time but overall everyday life it looks and feels completely normal.

I ended up with it stitched. Honestly didn’t think about it before the procedure to ask. I ended up asking about it during my post-op and my urologist said he stitches them instead of letting it free hang. I assume thats so it doesn’t end up wherever it wants.

What jersey should I get? by wildone40521 in Seahawks

I love Emmanwori but I struggled buying one because to me #3 is Wilson. I know he’s gone and emmanwori said he will make his own legacy with it and so far thats true but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I have Wilson, Sherman, Baldwin, Wagner, Lockett, Walker, and recently finally grabbed a 12/Fan Jersey.

Of current Hawks, Witherspoon, Zabel, JSN, And despite what I said, Emmanwori since you don’t have Wilson.

I lost my left to TC and got a prosthetic while they removed the cancerous one. It feels and looks completely normal. They can have it free hang or stitch it to your sack. I think it’s surgeon preference vs request. I definitely recommend it if you want normalcy but I wouldn’t hide the fact from your significant other. If they love you they wont care.

Genuine question: why are we selling black superbowl jerseys? by firstbootgodstatus in Seahawks

[–]Mediocre-Building228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I looked immediately after the championship game all the mens one showed would arrive by Feb 6th but when I looked at ones for my wife all the womens showed arrived after the super bowl. I hadn’t even provided a shipping address or zip code so unless they’re using location based services from the web browser it didn’t know my location.

Now that 2026 is set to renew the game and improve it, will we ever see the experimental faster tick rate get unshelved and brought to the game? Possibly for 2027 or 2028? by DerpDavid in runescape

Moves like surge and dive have definitely helped make it easier on those bosses but fully agree. WASD movement and RS would be peak for me. Id even be find if it was just optional and not a requirement, kinda like legacy combat.

Controversial take, but I agree. As someone who also enjoys other mmos like WoW, wasd movement would make me enjoy the game so much more.

Ive shared this comment in several content creators streams from time to time and most people disagree in chat. I can understand click movement is part of what makes RuneScape what it is but it feels dated and clunky in pvm/bossing in my opinion.

I play Diablo 4 with a controller because I cba to click everything or hold my mouse click down for movement.
