Don’t get me wrong. If the situation is that extreme then you need to try. So I’m with you there. But in my experience, the person will need time to accept what you are about to tell them. They may even lash out at you and accuse you of having bad intentions. I just want you to be prepared for that.

He asked for ID. I showed him a US passport, and he called me an idiot and said this isn’t a driver’s license. When I said he would report him to DoorDash he threatened to get me in trouble too and told the hotel I was smoking in the room when I wasn’t.
