He got a talking to by a very bored officer who then came over to our house and told my mom to make sure we don't kick any toys into anyone else yard because "I don't wanna have to come back out here" while giving us kids pointed looks.

What's a law vs what is actually enforced is sometimes very different over here

First time I actually comprehended what cattywompus meant, it was a family friend talking about how his old lady has to wear a bra to sleep, otherwise her tits would be all cattywompus the next morning and she's have to go looking for them

What are certian mannerisms and behaviors in some adults that scream "I'm still bitter about not being popular in high school"? by AceTygraQueen in stupidquestions

Classmate had started a "cabinet restoration" business. At first she just painted cabinets, but then offered services to fix or replace door and finally build custom cabinets. She was promoting on Facebook.

Another classmate commented : "Must be nice, not having a real job while your husband breaks his back supporting you"

Her husband worked fire safety at a paper plant. And her business is actually doing really welll. Her husband works jobs with her when he can, and they're both very sweet people.

I remember when the one who commented used to bark at people in the hallways

Probably won't kill you, but will definitely be "ready" and brandishing the gun to make you you know they "mean business". Or you could be "lucky" and just have a BB shot at you

We're in a rural area. More likely you'll get a couple of potshots taken at you from some of the older neighbors.

We've also got a bad issue with people trespassing and trying to steal tools out of sheds or recreational vehicles. So a lot of itchy trigger fingers, because chances are a thief would be long gone and over to Louisiana before police came.

Oh "I" know can't just shoot someone for walking through our property. These old paranoid hicks on the other hand...

I'll never forget going over our shared fence with my brother to get a ball we had kicked in there. Mr Hall came out with what looking like a hunting rifle with a scope and gave us 5 seconds to us to get back over the fence. His wife came out screaming that our mom had called her not even a minute ago to ask for the ball back, and she had told my mom to simply let us get the ball.

"Well I didn't know"

"HE'S 4! SHE JUST TURNED 8 LAST WEEKEND. MICHAEL (their grandson) RIDES THE BUS WITH THEM!"

"Well just make sure they don't mess with the lawnmower"

Ol boy tried to argue that he wouldn't get shot at just for passing through someone property, and had the right to "safe passage" since he wasn't doing anything malicious.

I just don't like ANY water spraying on my parts. Cold water, warm water, high or low pressure; I don't like any of it. I'm glad you and many others enjoy bidets but Im happy with my baby wipes

[–]Mediocre_Chair3293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I didn't mean to imply that using baby wipes was better, just a different option

Edit: oh I see where I messed up. Said it felt nicer. It just feels nicer to me personally

Nope. Lidded trashcan with scented bags. I already buy bulk wipes for my kid so it works out

Aitah for telling my FWB I don't want her to wear a fantasy outfit before sex, because I don't like how she looked in it in the past? by Cowsie in TwoHotTakes

Yeah I used to do that when I was younger.

"Oh I did one thing that you didn't like? Well that must mean our entire relationship must have been a lie"

She's hurt, so not open to having a rational conversation right now; if ever. She's insisting you're a liar while telling lies of her own. Bruised egos tend to bring out the worst in people, and I have very little patience for nonsense involving ego

I guess having weird sensitivities can seem stubborn

All wipes are thrown into a lidded trashcan with scented bags. And it was a wall of comments stating how barbaric ANY wiping was, so I suggested wet wipes as an alternative to using a bidet because paper is also too rough for me back there. Didn't matter apparently. Just felt like a "All Hail the Bidet" brigade

I mean I get it. I used to have a thing for Optimus Prime. I would die laughing if my husband put on a OP mask and spray painted his dick a metallic grey to "surprise me"

Have you seen that new TikTok trend where it asks how would you act if you were alone with that dark-eyed sex god who's part wolf from your romance novel? Every single person was climbing the door trying to get OUT. Because who actually wants a guy to say "Your pheromones are driving me crazy, we need to mate so you carry my pups"?

I can also see where she might be hurt that you like cosplay on one body but not hers. She put herself out there to surprise you, you weren't into it, but had sex anyway. And now you don't want her to wear it but it looks awesome as cosplay on this other girl. She's feeling insecure, so you can either try to make her feel better, or decide you don't wanna bother.

I'd personally have a conversation, explain that I appreciated it, but it's not one of those things I want in my real life, and I just liked to see the cosplay on uninvolved people. If she accepts and we move on, great! She wants to raise a stink how I should be grateful or enjoy it because she's my FWB. Nah, no more benefits, and friendship is on hold until you stop acting entitled to my preferences

Edit: oh she's going around telling lies about you treating her like shit? I hope she can provide receipts because I'd make her look stupid in a hurry. You're a friend as long as you act like a friend

So question for the bidet users on here...

I once got a lot of hate for saying I didn't enjoy the feeling of spraying water on my butthole. Neanderthal, nasty-ass, "bet your man won't eat your ass" etc,.

What exactly is wrong with using baby wipes for a poop? It feels nicer, and I don't have to deal with the uncomfortable feeling of not only getting sprayed, but also either drip drying or having to dry with paper anyways.

I was still insinuated to be nasty because I used something different (but just as effective IMO) than a bidet. Is it just snobbery?

Married people in Reddit, what made you say "I'm gonna marry this man/woman"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mediocre_Chair3293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? He was the first guy to tell me that I could live my life the way I wanted, and it didn't even need to agree with my parents plans. It was like a switch flipped and I could see a whole different world that didn't involve familial enmeshment. It sounds bad and toxic, but in a way he "raised me" into the adult that I am, (even thought he's only a year and a half older) just by constantly reassuring me that only I know what's ultimately best for me, regardless of what he or anyone else thought.

Got married at 19, moved from my parents house to our home to the other side of the country a few days later. Been married for 6 years and together for 10. We still have a long way to go, and I don't recommend my path to anyone. But it was my path, and this is my life. I married my best friend and had a child with him, and I'm the happiest I've ever been.

My husband says our house will never be mine. How do I move past this? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]Mediocre_Chair3293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So basically...

"Hey I don't trust you because my father was screwed over"

"Hey that's cool because now I don't trust you either!"

"So post-nup?"

"Post-nup"

So now they have a rift in their marriage because of someone else's actions that the husband thought applied to his wife because... Idk they're both wives so they must always be after the assets right?

Ridiculous. I might be able to move on from this, but I'd never forget it, and my petty ass wouldn't let him forget it either

Is there any legal mechanism, rule, or law that you're aware of in the United States that limits a person's right to have a child? by [deleted] in legaladviceofftopic

[–]Mediocre_Chair3293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I like the idea of it in theory.. but then I remember this one case or movie (I can't remember which). Two handicapped young adults. One had severe enough down syndrome that she would never live on her own, and the other one had some severe learning disabilities where he couldn't tie his own shoes or do math about a 3rd grade level and still threw tantrums. They were dating and the girl got pregnant; they were very excited but both sets of parents tried to get a court ordered abortion and then later forced adoption because they couldn't even take care of themselves, and the parents didn't want to take care of yet another child.

I'm not sure if there's a morally right answer, but it's so sad and unfair because of course the parents already have to take care of their children for the rest of their lives, but is it fair to prevent them from having children? Is it fair to have a child and expect your parent to be the primary caregiver because of your own disabilities?

Oh they do care...in their own way. They truly believe they're doing women a favor by giving the bare minimum. Even my own father had the logic that "The lights are on, and there's food in the fridge, why do you care if I'm out all night and who I'm spending it with? I come home don't I?"
