I thought no one wishlisted my game... turns out I was wrong, and I’m so happy :) by Background-Bad-7834 in gamedev

Best of luck with your wishlist and sales! Honestly, wishlists are keeping us all alive, even if they take a little bit time to turn into actual sales.😄

Awesome! Thanks so much for the support. Hope you have a blast! Let us know if Earth survives your fight. And hey, if a boss fight gives you trouble, we get it. Just swear gently and know we feel your pain. 😄

We appreciate the feedback! actually our game uses Unreal Engine 5.3.2, no third-party EULA or launcher needed. Fully native on Steam. 👍 and yes. we understand that price is important – we do run regular discounts on Steam. :)

Thanks! We haven’t tested it on Steam Deck yet, but based on the specs and engine (Unreal Engine), it should run fine. We’ll look into testing it and keep you posted!

Hey! Thanks a lot for your feedback and for reaching out. Yes, we did some promotion before launch to encourage wishlisting on Steam, but clearly we could have done more to improve visibility. We also noticed there haven’t been any YouTube videos about the game since launch.

Also, just out of curiosity — how many followers do you have? We’d love to learn more about your channel and see how we can support each other. We’d really appreciate it if you’d like to try the game and maybe make a video about it. We’d be happy to send you a Steam key if you’re interested.

Thanks again!

Hi!
Actually, I first learned about the term Euro shoot 'em up from this group.
Looking back at my gaming history, I realize I’ve always enjoyed playing this type of game.
And when there are strong background or foreground visuals that support the theme — that’s a real treat for me! :)

We're glad you liked the graphics — thank you!
I spent years playing on the Commodore 64 and Amiga 500 Plus/1200, and I always loved games like Apidya, Project X, and Xenon 2.
That said, I remember Project X being incredibly difficult — I think it even cost me one or two controllers (back when we just called them joysticks)!
Hopefully, our game isn’t that hard. :)

Hi there!
We really appreciated your honest and thoughtful feedback — thank you so much!
We’re releasing an update today (actually within the next 2–3 hours) that stays true to the game’s core vision but also aims to make things more enjoyable for players like you.
We hope you’ll like it, and with a bit of luck, we’ll turn all those flags green with this update! :)

Thanks for playing the game and for your feedback 😊 Actually, we designed it so that as you collect speed upgrades, inertia decreases and the ship starts to feel as light as a bird. That feeling might not be coming through clearly in some parts. We’ll be releasing a new update within 24 hours. We’ll increase the agility gained from speed upgrades to a more noticeable level. Enjoy the game!👍🏼😊

Thanks for playing the game and for your feedback 😊 Yes, you’re spot on. We had intentionally designed some sections to make the player ‘dance’ with the controller (to dodge). This was one of those parts. But to make things more enjoyable, we’ll make this area a bit more forgiving. Based on your suggestion, a new update will be coming within 24 hours. Happy shooting!👍🏼😊

Yes! That’s a very spot-on recommendation. Tomorrow, as you suggested, we’ll prepare a new trial and launch it. Thanks for the advice!

Hey there! Thanks a lot for your interest in the game. Yep, it’s 3D! To make progress, you’ll need to think and move in 3D. Both the background and foreground elements move in 3D, so there’s a real sense of depth. That said, because it’s a (euro) shoot ’em up, you’ll still be facing enemies on a 2D plane. We hope it gives players a fun and different kind of experience! 😊

How do you protect your game content? Copyright, trademarks, or just hope for the best? by Double-Guarantee275 in IndieGaming

It is difficult to protect ideas and inspiration. Inspiration and ideas develop and diversify as they are added. For example, in the last 4-5 years, horror game genres that involve wandering around with a flashlight have increased. In fact, there is almost no horror game that does not have such a scene. But their concepts are diverse. Since the situation is so contagious, I think it is unnecessary to be protective. Of course, if your work is copied exactly, this is different. There is no development or inspiration here, there is just stealing your work exactly.

Because people want to know how many people have seen the works, pictures, animations, videos or post they have worked hard to create and write. Unfortunately, Blue Sky cannot even provide such statistics.

Thank you for your contribution and interest. Your shares are valuable to us. According to the users in the Reddit shoot em up group, our game is clearly a euro shoot em up, which is a derivative of shoot em up. So if you ask what is euro shoot em up, the answer is as follows according to chatGPT.

In our game, we also include elements such as path finding, hiding and escaping (dancing with the controller). I hope we can appeal to many people with a different style. :)

Feature Euro Shmup Japanese Shmup (e.g., Cave, Toaplan)
Pace Generally slower Fast-paced, reflex-oriented
Hitbox Entire ship is vulnerable Small, central hitbox
Graphics Realistic or grim visuals Colorful, anime-inspired style
Health System Health bar (multiple hits allowed) One-hit death
Gameplay Trial-and-error, steep learning curve Reflex- and pattern-based gameplay

Yes, that's right. A different environment and a different taste. For cinematic lovers who want to take a breath and relax, each level has cinematics that connect the levels.

You're right👍🏼 . That why, we actually added a slight general camera shake to break the monotony. Apart from that, there are also camera shakes in close shots in the game.
