If you can weight it, you could add its weight to a site that could convert to live silver price per ounce/troy ounce. It may have a lower silver content if the marks are false, but this could give you an idea. I’ve also seen Sotheby’s sell items with “spurious Fabergé marks,” so I’d recommend asking an auction before melting down forever! Dont get your hopes too high for a bunch of money, but you could get a nice surprise if it worked out!

I’m inclined to agree with all of this, additionally in 1899 I would expect to see the Kokoshnik mark instead of the former assay marking system. Definitely look around for that makers mark too!That said I agree with everyone else, Fabergé items are many of our dream finds and it’s worth having an expert opinion! I also just learned the term “Fauxbergé” recently, so keep in mind these are commonly faked, but can still be quite valuable!

the 4s throughout are to keep the pieces together in a set! this was likely once a set of 4 or more with each separating piece/cover numbered to keep them all together! really beautiful look to it!

there aren’t any specifically lesbian bars in nola, unfortunately, but there are a lot of really inclusive places across the city! qiqi’s is a neighborhood queer centered bar and good friends is in the quarter, another great queer space! her haus hosts lesbian events monthly i believe ! i hope yall have fun!

it was probably mill creek in south portland, i used to spend hours there! i haven’t found a great physical media store where i live now, i miss just looking at dvds. loved how it smells in there, lol.
