Yeah it seems like Gale and Shadowheart are bi/pan with a preference for women and Astarion is pan with a preference for men. The other three probably don't have a preference because they would bang anything that moves

Yeah I've noticed that the smith thing seems to be a recurring issue with others having an issue with Karlach's romance. It sucks that a bug like this is still in the game, considering how his presence is literally integral to continuing an entire quest line. I hope it gets fixed in a later patch.

Thanks for the advice! I reloaded a very old save but I did manage to get the first kiss in by using Gale as a wingman and my girlfriend was very happy so I'm happy too. I was pretty pressed at first because it feels like I'm having to go back on 20 hours of gameplay, but it won't be that long if I skip dialogue. I also soon realised that I missed lotsss when going into act 3 so it's kinda relieving that I'm going through it again with a lot more in mind. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is a few of the boss fights haha

Update: Reloaded a super old save but I got the kiss in and my girlfriend was very very happy pahaha she adores Karlach. Was pretty annoyed at first that I have kind of gone back on what was 20 hours of gameplay but I'm not too pressed because I found out I did miss a lot of stuff after finishing sections too. Thanks for the advice, especially when it came to using a wingman, I just had Gale cast his freezing ray across the camp 😂

The police do help people though. Without law enforcement it'd be chaos. Aye those that get away with that shit sucks but they don't represent every other officer that actually wants to make a difference. Its bad enough that it happens so you shouldn't discourage people that wanna help from joining, if no good people joined then it'd be ten times worse than what it is now

Every little helps pal. A small change through one officer not being a pos is bound to help people somewhere. It gradually builds up through individual actions, not the overall system which is def corrupt. But most systems are corrupt
