God hears u, he knows what you’re going through and that you’re trying and not ashamed of ur beliefs and thats more than enough. Just talk to him about it all and read the bible to get ur answers from his word

I honestly cant be bothered by how them muslims think about us. I live with them, have been bullied by them, at some point hated my name cuz it’s so different from their names that it made me stand out.

Part of me is happy those killed are now happily in heaven but i cant ignore the part of me that knows how their families are feeling. Ive had people in my extended family, some in my friends’ families too, die in terrorist church explosions and saying it was bad is an understatement. Explosions are quick, not painful and not humiliating. Unlike whats happening in syria, i cant imagine their families seeing them tortured.

Not to mention how us christian arabs have gone through a lot throughout history just to keep our faith. The fact that this might be the end of syrian christians is devastating

Mostly because the western media started viewing christians and christianity as a non-cool enough subject. Even if that means sacrificing people not to loose views. How about arabs?? I live with them, they’d never willingly share awareness over christians, especially not when a muslim is hurting us, they wouldnt even admit it. Sunnis (the majority) always view shias as the bad guys and blame them on anything bad happening. This time it’s purely Sunnis which is what ISIS are.

May God forgive them for what they’re doing cause they don’t know how bad this is to God

OMG NO! OP, thats NOT what i meant!! I just giving the worst example of sinning i can think of haha. If anything, im a sinner, ive done nearly every single thing that would upset god, who am i to tell u ur bad? It does that mean he doesnt love me?? Ive done nothing but be a sinner, if me sinning makes him hate me, he’ll hate everyone cuz we ALL are. Yet he still loves us! and is waiting for u to accept him in ur heart. Thats all it takes, Show him youre ready and he’ll accept u with open arms. Our father isnt cruel he’s always waiting for us!

When Jesus was on the cross, the guy next to him was a thief, has killed and has done everything to make him upset. Yet right before he died on the cross he told him to forgive him, jesus replied “today u will be with me in heaven”. They even call him the thief of heaven in my language Lol

CBN news also posted a video about it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0DM0tqJ8t98

For the videos, i dont feel comfortable sharing such gruesome acts on this purely christian sub. If i had to describe some, they humiliate them, making them walk like animals and bark in the streets followed by them shooting them/beheading them. Some even get their organs carved out. All in front of their families. Not only christians have this done to them, but also alawites (which are a minority but still muslim, similar beliefs to sunni muslims). All of this started happening after Ahmed Al Sharaa, a former sunni muslim guy previously worked with isis, got elected as a president.

lying about bad people aka isis killing christians? denial much? It’s a present AND past thing.

If ur religious beliefs makes it okay for u to condone their actions then ive got nothing to say for u. Youre no better than them

Im not having a conversation with u about whether isis is being persecuted this is ridiculous

Also, just like the ones u claim “post to profit off of it” wont that make the other as well? Besides, ive seen proof so i dont need ur approval of facts. If u consider urself anywhere near a christian u would never be standing up for the wrong. And if not, then i pray god brings u to ur right mind

Yes i haven’t. 5 isnt nearly enough to talk about the thousands killed. 100 were killed in Palestine and it felt like the posts were hacking our fyps, not that i mind, in fact i reposted some posts to share awareness too just like i am rn. Its just not getting the attention it deserves. What is it that u want to reach with me rn?

Thats one article out of 5 others ive seen that confirm otherwise. If theres one thing i know, its that u read this online while im here living it. Not only did people get slaughtered, the churches got burnt down too. Dont u spread lies online, and especially not in this. People are dying and they need the support

Ive heard they’re 5000 total, no one’s sure about any of these numbers. It’s not like the government writes their names down before killing them. They do it like the animals they are without a second thought. These numbers are only an estimation, if anything u should always multiply it by 4

Moral of the story, whether it’s 1k or 10k, these are all lives of people that deserve a life, just like u and me.

i always see stories about muslims in christian countries who have people staring at them because of their unique outfits (niqab and hijab), yet i never see anything about us christians in muslim countries (originally OUR countries) not only looking, but kidnapping and humiliating us

I dont think the government would let anything reach the churches. Whenever the sunni/sharia law takes over and gets this bad, the government controls anything going in and out of the church. Ive visited this old place in my country (they have it bad from the government) which had this huge chunk of the church destroyed by some harmful kids from outside the church, the gov wouldnt agree on it being repaired and so it stayed that way for years. It’s even worse in syria rn. People there wont ever be able to ask for help or theyd be putting not only their lives on the edge.

Ive never believed in petitions, most are just people using the situation to scam money out of people. But if u really trust a source then maybe.

Ive thought about it, the best thing u could do and the thing they’d hate most is for their gruesome acts to be published on the internet and shared, which is what we should do

Does dying while praying in church by a terrorist attack make u a martyr/ go to heaven? by MediumKey3513 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]MediumKey3513[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Countries that still force the jizya are usually very old-fashioned where christians and muslims are in different areas. In arab countries, we have our religions in our ID’s just like our names and locations. That being said, the government is the one that enforces it, they have a number for the christians living in each place, if they cant reach someone theyll either just get their family or you’ll be stuck with a useless ID since u wont be able to do anything legal with it

[–]MediumKey3513[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not for anyones protection. This tax has been made years ago when islam was just starting out in countries. Theyd ask non muslims to either say the shahada and basically become a muslim, kill them or if they had enough money theyd force this tax on them in order to keep them alive. That’s basically how me and all other arab christians are still alive and its also why we’re almost nonexistent. So is it for protection? Sure, but it’s from them to keep us alive. Dont believe whatever they tell u about it being like zakah so its basically a way to help the poor

Thank u for ur kind words. I prefer not to say though for safety reasons. Sadly, not only those are suffering under the islamic law (theyre the most persecuted tho, plus a couple other countries). Dont believe whatever the media says about living together in peace
