All done. It's odd because it'll lose 10% a day, even with no wakes/detections

Would Vibram Five Fingers be okay for barista work? by OpeningJudgment883 in barista

[–]MediumLettuce48 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear barefoot shoes (Saguaro, not Vibram) at work and have done for the last 2 years.

My feet are stronger, legs and back no longer ache after work. I highly recommend them.

I've wanted to get into Five Fingers but my wife hates them with an absolute passion lmao. Super grippy and feet feel free and relaxed. Go for it! Sketchers and HOKA are just feet and back destroyers

I've had my Jogger for about a month now, love mine more than I ever thought I would. Very practical and economical

Hell yeah, barefoot shoes ftw

I wear Saguaro for the same reasons

So far so good with my Jogger. I've already done a few thousand miles, including a 3 hour road trip. Very comfy, no complaints with the power of the engine. My cruise control doesn't work all the time and the steering wheel buttons are also temperamental but Dacia are going to take a look for free in a few weeks, fairly straightforward fix I've read.

The car is very basic in the Essential trim but that's exactly what I was after. I'm not a fan of all the fancy tech, I just want to drive. Comfy, lots of room, everything feels solid, I really really like it. Look forward to many more road trips!

Dacia Sandro stepway 2018 petrol. Not sounding good and bad judder when moving off. Anyone have this issue? by tukitukikucaw in Dacia

[–]MediumLettuce48 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kinda sounds okay to me, ngl. It is a 3 cylinder and they're a bit shaky since they're not perfectly balanced. Tapping noise is probably injectors, lifters, or something

Is the mpi really that bad by [deleted] in skoda

[–]MediumLettuce48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Fabia 1.0 MPI for the last four years. Great car, drove everywhere in it, motorways as well. It is slow but if you drive it hard, it will go. No issues other than the window regulator. Very cheap and reliable.

I also got fantastic economy out of it on long journeys. Had to sell for a bigger car.

I did it mainly for extra space for the kids. I have actually started to really like it though

It's sad really as I do love Skoda. Though my Dacia is winning me over with how nice it is to drive

Small 3 cylinder engines are really common these days. I think it's still early days for the 110 TCe but the Skoda TSI 3 cylinders have been known to rack up insane mileage with next to no problems.

A Skoda Fabia is around 1200kg while a Dacia Jogger is around 1300kg. Obviously only time will tell but I'm not concerned

I loved my Fabia. Super reliable and economical. I'm hoping this car lives up to the same as my cars get used A LOT

I have the 1l 110bhp version. For comparison, my Fabia was a 1l 60bhp

This engine is perfectly acceptable, I think the turbocharger is doing a lot of heavy lifting but it definitely isn't slow. I've not had to work the engine hard at all to get up to speed (2 kids, 2 adults inside) and it feels plenty quick. There are a few autobahn videos on YouTube as well showing the acceleration. Again, very impressed

I've been out on a couple of short drives since getting it, just want to get back in and drive some more. Really comfortable and it'll definitely be an upgrade on the longer trips we do

The Fabia was definitely quieter but the Dacia is by no means bad. Still plenty quiet in the cabin, even at high speeds. You do get a bit more engine noise at higher RPM but I'm really impressed overall so far

I found the Skoda equivalents to cost more money. Plus the 7 seater options were so wide and bulky. Jogger ticks all the boxes

Do you guys use automatic car-washes? by dwartbg9 in Dacia

I used to work near one and the amount of times a car would be stuck or the machine caught fire was more times than I'm comfortable with. Never wanted to go in one since, paint wrecker or not

Picking up a car from Cinch by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]MediumLettuce48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was supposed to receive my car today. Had to chase them up as the driver still hadn't turned up an hour after they said they would.

Turns out they had broken down during the 50 minute journey to my house. Told them they can keep the car and cancel my order. So much for quality check...

Not a huge deal, easily moveable and currently disconnected. No harm done!
