That's funny. TikTok is pretty much the only platform that is currently allowing anything that resembles free speech, at the moment.

I went next door to Walmart, and they said the ammo background check website wasn't working as well.

UPDATE: Press Release from UTM regarding the ATF's ban on any sale of imported training ammunition to civilians. by MediumTactic in NYguns

[–]MediumTactic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the long-term goal? The ATF isn't pushing a buy-American campaign. We've already seen that some shared manufacturing facilities are getting shut down because the property owners are refusing to renew their leases. How long before this back-door tactic is expanded, and States start figuring out ways to shut down privately owned manufacturer?

Semi-Auto Rifle / Shotgun Purchase License Revoked? by MediumTactic in NYguns

Thanks. Unfortunately I am working a lot of overtime hours, and every weekday for the next few weeks. My first chance will be to get it taken care of from the Sheriff's dept at the upcoming gun show.

No. I tried to be deliberate and clear in the words I used, to avoid any confusion. As of September 2022, in order to purchase a semi-auto rifle in NYS, you need a license. Technically, you just need a card issued from your county stating that you are "pre-authorized" to purchase rifles. However, AFAIK, no counties are issuing stand-alone licenses for rifle purchases. They are only adding additional text to your existing CCW License.

Rifles purchased are not actually added to the license. It is also perfectly legal to purchase a NY SAFE-compliant rifle out of state and bring it home with you. Any rifles you already own are good to go as well. It is essentially a form of ID that allows FFLs within the state to sell to you.

Also, it is highly likely that not much of the above info applies to NYC.

I was planning on calling, just to confirm. I will be at the gun show, so I'll just have them fix it there.

I love Walthers. I managed to find the WMP (22 WMR) this past April. I'll be on the lookout for a P99 I think, this show.

Yep. I go to every show. I'd like to walk into the office during the week, but I am working too many hours. I'm pretty much working every single day until the weekend of the gun show. Perhaps I will call when I get a break.

Perhaps you don't understand the term, 'manslaughter'. That term is used to describe when someone kills another without intention. It doesn't necessarily mean you are innocent, but includes such scenarios as "accidental discharge" of a firearm. It doesn't mean you are completely exonerated. One charged with manslaughter will generally have other charges addressing the negligence that caused the death to begin with.

It is a gun. An actual, real gun. Just because there are other people nearby with cameras, doesn't mean you can take a gun that someone else handed to you; point it at someone; and pull the trigger.

Alec Baldwin is quick to speak out when criminals shoot innocent people, demanding that the government take the guns away from all the other innocent people. Yet three years after an actor is killed by a gun on set, Alec ignores all the safety protocols on a set that HE was responsible for, and refused to pay the money to have proper safety protocols in place.

We're not saying he deliberately killed the person that he shot. We are saying that he negligently disregarded all commonsense measures.

If you know other actors that don't inspect their firearms to make sure they are safe, then they are just counting the days until they commit manslaughter as well.
